It was relatively episodic, but still had storylines that spanned episodes/seasons. To me, you could say the same thing about other series
“Lost was just bad… I even went to IMDb, picked the very highest ranked episodes…”(s4e5). (Replace Lost with Breaking Bad, would anyone recommend watching season 5 episode 14?)
I’m not sure many tv shows would live up to that metric, maybe Bluey/paw patrol/other kids shows.
This doesn’t fit the format, and can’t work with it, but this is where my head went as soon as I saw “11 Rikers Riking” -First truly “high effort” post on my part - this took more time than I care to admit.
A gif of 11 scenes with Riker stepping over the back of a chair, simultaneously would be epic, but I’m not talented, and a phone is not the place to do that.
A few years ago I became seriously ill. I was in a coma on heavy duty meds, and had a kidney transplant. I’m much better than I was, but I can’t do a lot of things like I could before....
I’ll double this, I’ve got a kid’s game called CoraQuest where they got kids to make drawings/sketches of their ideas, and had an artist touch them up for production. The art in the game is great because of this.

Hangup? Klingons are like butterflies, in the past, they were caterpillars, preparing for their metamorphosis, and emerged from the cocoon as the Klingons of today.
My group is great and understanding. A dedicated game night has survived having a child, covid, and all of us moving around the area. Backup games exist for a reason. (And we do love 5-6 player games of spirit Island)
But if it takes time, there’s a moment where you’re not there, and thus, the reference is lost.
Instant teleporting no problems though. I would even be okay with nightcrawler/Minecraft nether-like teleport where you travel through another locked in dimension.
I’m getting really tired of my food expiring before I make anything with it, and I want to quit buying anything that can’t be frozen or last several months in the cupboard.
If you’re willing to spend a weekend making, ramen stock freezes very well in pieces.
The stock goes into the plastic soup containers, the meat can be bagged and frozen, many veggies work well frozen (thinking corn), I buy seaweed chips for the nori, the noodles are also bought frozen, and all that’s left is an egg to prepare.
She’s clearly having fun, running around in circles, chewing sticks, and finding and eating cat poop. And I don’t want to discourage her from having fun when I take her outside (except for the cat poop thing – that needs to stop)....
Yelp, make it understood that you’re not having fun. Sounds like a distressed puppy for a any time it happens. Oddly, that worked with my dog for her jumping on me, but not for everyone. It’s… Frustrating. She knows that’s not how I play, but others in my family not so much.
Edit: I’m not a trainer, you might want to get a session or two with someone who is highly rated, to get their input.
Im having difficulty finding names I like. I need two - three names that roll off the tongue and wouldn’t be out of place with a long hyphenated surname....
It’s great when the gamers are coming from inside the house!
Some of these might be a little old for the kids yet, but we had a bunch of fun with:
Spooky stairs - it’s a dice rolling race, but eventually, every pawn is a white ghost and you have to keep track of yours. (Magnets keep the sheets on, it’s quite clever)
my first castle panic - castle panic, for kids.
CoraQuest (this you’ll want to wait a year or two) - think hero quest, but not legacy.
Absolute zero jr - card based math game with addition and subtraction. (You want your hand to add up to zero)
bugs in the kitchen - you roll a die to turn walls to guide the bug into your trap. The ‘bug’ is a nano bot, essentially a vibrating toothbrush head, that’s hard to control. It might be too small a part for the 2 year old, you know your kid best.
Edit: Mine is seven now, so we’re just getting into longer form games and they’ve been loving it. Attention span of about an hour, but we split up the games in half and revisit them when the wiggles attack. Some day: Spirit Island.
When doing a search for Star Trek memes up until a few years ago, it was pretty fun. Now the internet is just filled with all kinds of freakish images that it feels like someone’s lost their minds or in the process of losing their mind.
