My view point on this is probably not mainstream but I don’t mind having debt now for vacations. I used to worry so much about debt and I would never go on expensive trips. I would try to save for them but its hard because something always came up. As a result we never went anywhere. I got sick of that and tried getting a credit card for trips and we have gone to a bunch of places and it’s been awesome. I just pay it back the best I can before the next trip. If I were to wait until I had money to go places we would never go and my children would miss out on different cultural experiences. I’m totally ok with debt that makes my children more well rounded people. Also money is just made up. Some people get more than they will ever need when they are first born while others have to struggle for no good reason. Just try to live the best life you can and don’t worry about that shit lol.

This is why I usually don’t comment on stuff like this in PRs. If it’s readable and easy to understand it doesn’t need more abstractions. Even if it’s less code. What’s it save like a few bytes? That’s not as useful as the whole team instantly knowing how the code works when they see it lol
I will say though if a jr dev came upon the last code they would just look it up and learn something so that’s a total valid path too. Just depends on your codebase and how your team works. I think it usually ends up being a mix with larger teams.

The only reason the lines backup now is because they don’t use the normal drive thru system anymore. They try to be innovative and have people standing outside with iPads to take your order. I recently bought an electric car and I’m loving it. I would recommend getting one. I charge it at night and it can go all over town. We recently took a long trip too. It definitely took more time than it would have in a gas car but we just ate while the car charged and that worked out awesome since we needed to eat anyways.
When Trump was president we couldn’t leave our houses because of COVID. We had riots in some cities. He was separating children from their parents at the border.
For me specifically things were going so bad at my company that we had daily meetings just to talk about how shitty things were in the world. They told us to do as much work as we could but it’s understandable if you can’t concentrate.i have never experienced that before In my life. That’s what I don’t want ever again.

Idk being scared doesn’t exactly equate to suffering. Once the fireworks stop the dog is fine. It’s just scary because it doesn’t know what’s going on. I have been in that position many times lol I wouldn’t say I was suffering. People who make such a big deal about it are usually the same people who are overly attracted to their dogs. They think of their dogs as a human child.
Mac os and windows? I haven’t seen it on my Mac but maybe on windows? Those are pretty modern. I haven’t seen it in Linux either now that I think of it.

I usually get air b and B’s for the location not the ambiance but this could be worse. Usually they have pictures before you rent too.
I never really have issues to be honest though. I usually try to pay a little more to find a nice place and if there aren’t any I’ll just get a hotel. Some cities air b and b is a better option like near a beach or in a historic town where you can get a whole house near somewhere fun. It’s ok for cabins too. Hotels are easier and a more convenient experience depending on the company.
