I’m literally married, but I sometimes feel like my husband and I may both be on the ACE spectrum. He’s the only person I seriously dated in my life, and we’ve been together more than a decade. I never felt strongly attracted to anyone in that way until I got to know him.
Sex is great, but I’d say there are other facets of our relationship that we value even more.
I didn’t know there was a term for them. I feel like many people I interact with communicate solely through a series of TTC. I find it very exhausting.
My grandfather farmed both soy and oats, but I wasn’t aware there was a drastic difference between the water consumed. Now I know. Sucks because I really think soy has the best texture and flavor, but I’m not that picky
Thanks for the encouragement! My main thing is I have celiac and severe lactose intolerance. I can drink that lactose free milk, but I prefer to drink plant milks. The one I’ve tried to avoid is almond milk, after my discord buddy explained how wasteful it is to produce them.
I’m pretty neutral about oat milk. I have celiac disease, so I eat a lot of gluten free oats as a grain, and so I can taste more oatiness in oat milk. For instance, I eat a lot of Cheerios, which are primarily oats, and putting oat milk on top is not the perfect complement. Soy or rice milk balance flavor better imo.
Now, if I were to make a latte, then yeah oat milk all the way! But I don’t really drink lattes, and I’ve never really drank much straight-up milk. It’s mostly a cereal condiment for me. And half my family is Mexican, so if I’m going to drink a non-dairy beverage, it’s probably going to be horchata which is pretty much rice, cinnamon, and sugar.
But I’m relieved to hear that almond milk is at least not as wasteful as regular dairy. That’s no surprise though, given how horribly unethical and destructive the dairy industry is, at least where I live in the US.
Oh yeah. I’ve abused other substances too, and I’d consider alcohol a hard drug. There’s a lot of misguided bro science surrounding alcohol too, and I think people tend to be in denial of how great a psychological and physiological impact it can have on a person over time. I accept that other people drink, but damn I’m so thankful that part of me is in the past. Have multiple people in my life who are drinking themselves to death. My brother for example used to be my best friend, but he’s basically a zombie now. I hope he recovers, but it’s absolutely something someone has to choose for themselves.
Edit: I believe trans people should have equity too, and the freedom to enter into whatever type of relationship that they so choose, whatever that may look like. Ironically, it’s you who are trying to invalidate other people’s relationships. I’m doing nothing of the kind.

Probably the same type of person who’d complain about reddit being too “left leaning.” We’re not talking about people with a reasonable or healthy array of takes.
