Always on VPN, no Facebook/ Twitter/ reddit.

No chromium browsers, no Google account. No youtube account. Adblocks on. I use a hardened Linux OS on my main machine, do all internet browsing in a VM spoofed like a desktop from 2015. Live in the woods 20 minutes from a town of <1k. Have tripwire alarms on my trails. Very limited internet(more circumstantial) so I download anything bigger than an app on public wifi(over VPN.)

For context, LDAC is one of the few wireless audio codecs stamped Hi-Res by the Japan Audio Society and its encoder is open source since Android 8, so you can see just how long Windows is sleeping on this. F droid is an app to download or update free or open source software. If you like FOSS, you’d search it before you search the app store.

For some people, yes it can fully replace the app store. For most people, it will replace the app store on some, or maybe even most apps, but there will probably be some proprietary software you need at some point which fdroid won’t have.

My jerboa was crashing so I tried to install it from Fdroid, and now I can't sign into either version. (Server isn't updated because of captcha issues with new update. Jerboa is preventing login because of this.)

So that prevented me from using jerboa.
