What game do you play to just chill?
Nowadays I find a lot of games feel like too much work and/or anxiety when I just want to relax for like, 30 minutes to an hour after a long day. On the other hand, the games specifically designed to help you unwind just feel boring imo....
OK Microsoft... trying to log into Teams while work lapop updates to Windows 11. No longer works in any iPhone browser, including Edge. The app will not authenticate my work login. (lemmy.world)
Update…Per Microsoft’s instructions, disabled all tracking protections in Safari and requested desktop mode and it works. Their instructions say turn protections back on after using teams… 😐...
Why do you use firefox? (upload.wikimedia.org)
What do you do with all the free time you got once you stopped using reddit?
Why is firefox losing market share? Why don't more people use Firefox?
edited the heading of the question. I think most of us here are reasoning why more people are not using firefox (because it was the initial question), but none of that explains why it’s actively losing marketshare....
Is anyone else having trouble giving up Reddit due to content?
I’m not trying to cause an argument but when Reddit pulled it’s bs - I said that’s enough. I gave up my Reddit addiction and didn’t open it or visit the site for over 30 days....

When will America stop worshipping the Christian god in favor of legit worshipping companies?
This question is a joke. Also, the mods should add a joke tag to allow dumb answers.

According to emails obtained by the WSJ, brands need to have spent at least $1,000 on ads within the prior 30 days or $6,000 in the previous 180 days to retain the gold checkmark identifying...
As Twitter destroys its brand by renaming itself X, Mastodon user numbers are again soaring | TechCrunch (techcrunch.com)
As Twitter ditches its iconic branding in favor of owner Elon Musk's favorite letter "X," its open source competitor Mastodon is once again seeing usage numbers soar.

Ubisoft will delete your account if you haven't logged for some time (Even if you owned games in it) (gamerant.com)
Ubisoft claims they do not want their players to lose access to their accounts but it’s pretty clear they do want to (so they can repurchase probably), otherwise they would not implement such feature 🤷...
GPU Sharing Between VMs and a Host
This seems like the final technology in containing and categorizing different PC uses into different virtual machines, while still having good feel even in contained things. If set up right you can have a seamless experience tabbing between a host system and virtual system, and you can do whatever you can normally do in either...
Google engineers want to introduce DRMs for web pages, making ad-blocking near-impossible in the browser (github.com)
And since you won’t be able to modify web pages, it will also mean the end of customization, either for looks (ie. DarkReader, Stylus), conveniance (ie. Tampermonkey) or accessibility....
If you value privacy, ditch Chrome and switch to Firefox now (www.fastcompany.com)
With the number of people concerned about privacy, it is a wonder why chrome is even popular.

Anyone here purchasing/collecting retro-inspired controllers like the 8bitdo SFC30, M30, FC30, or inexpensive replicas solely for the purpose of reliving the nostalgic experience of playing retro games on their original consoles?...
What are your favorite "ugly" games?
I enjoy Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup played in the terminal with ASCII graphics. I wonder whether there are other hidden gems out there which don’t get attention because they are “ugly”?

What video game have you played the most, that you think is garbage and no one else should ever play?
I have played Eve Online so many hours, and it’s a bad game. Don’t do it. you will spend hundreds of hours dreaming about the cool thing you’ll do later, but for 99% of players the cool thing will never happen. You will be part of the one percent’s cool thing....

YSK about corporations' strategies to kill open source protocols (ploum.net)
I saw this in another thread on /c/Showerthoughts. I think it's important for this to be circulated widely so that the broader Fediverse community is aligned. We don't want admins second-guessing their decisions when users start infighting. We should be united in our thinking and ready to protect our platform.
