I didn’t know of this one. I’ll consider installing it in the future. Still, having EG launcher comes in handy when i have to quickly add some new free game, so is still fine 💁♂️.
Well, EG launcher kinda sucks on any device in my experience. Honestly, the only reason i’ve installed it is to have the free games on the Deck. I’ve used this guide and the fix in the post.

I have got my OLED Steamdeck today and made a picture with my old one side by side. The display is a little bit bigger, the touch screen is way better (more like a smartphone).
I refunded the LCD and got the Oled yesterday. To be honest is not a “game changing experience” but the improvements are definitely notable. The monitor is notably larger and smoother and the battery is something else, playing metro last light at 45 fps 10w I had more of 4 hours of estimated gameplay. And the indi looks amazing on the screen.
I have some samsung oled tab and I know of what you’re talking but on the Steam oled I didn’t notice anything like that and I’ve played a quite dark game like metro last light all yesterday.
Every time I close a game, there’s an extra invisible window or popup thing I need to close before I get to the recent games menu. This only started happening sometime before the 3.5 update and I was hoping that it was just a bug that was going to get fixed but nothing has happened so far....
If the screen goes black for a moment when you leave the game that may depend from the dysplay resetting the fps value. This should be fixed by setting the fps at 90 or 45.
The funny thing is that Valve actually manage to have some very good working anticheat running but most of the genius companies decided instead of using their own new buggy ( super breakable ) anticheat.
I was wondering how many of you out there who ordered the OLED model on release already got their Deck? Mine is stuck at “packaged items” for a couple of days and I am starting to get anxious when I get it.
Got the 512 Oled on day one. Right now is in transit to the final parcel center. I guess it will be delivered the next week. I was hoping for this weekend, but whatever 🤷♂️.
Just check all the games on any deal sites before you buy anything there are a lot of better price most of the time. Ofk always check if they are steam key code.
