Turned out amazing. Followed this recipe but swapped the ground ginger for fresh ginger. https://i.imgur.com/oTgSeIN.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/roxrP9W.jpg...
Which was promptly smothered in cilantro as god intended.
tl;dr: sriracha is selling for ~$40-$70 a bottle due to a shortage of red jalapeño crops, caused by climate change (specifically, extremely hot, dry weather as well as landslide effects from various climate events in the previous years). huy fong says sriracha is resuming limited production but did not specify when this...
After picking up the recipe on the site that shall not be named we finally got around to making it and absolutely love it!...
I bought a refillable spray bottle designed for cooking oils. Unfortunately the oils I have tried don’t compare to the ones in the cans (PAM cooking spray with lecithin) Can anyone suggest a good refillable substitute for PAM? Anyone tried mixing up their own lecithin laced cooking oils?
I had them air fried before, and if you really inspect them and think about it you can tell they aren't chicken (from the texture but the taste is identical IMO). But I had them fried in a deep fryer this weekend and they were indistinguishable from real chicken nuggets. I am flexitarian so it's not like I haven't eaten a...
The best of both worlds....
Every now and then my grocery has a frozen duck with the chickens/turkeys so this is a kinda special/unusual meal for me. I do a honey, lemon, balsamic glaze on the duck and it comes out delicious. The recipe I follow is here!

Is There Anything to the Panic Over Ultraprocessed Foods?...
You dumped out the water ten minutes ago. The pot is cooled off, and empty. It only had whole eggs in it, still in the shells. Now tell me, do you wash that pot? Get out the sponge and the soap and scrub it like usual? Or do you give it a quick rinse and slam it in the drying rack? No judgement here, only curiosity.
We want to break out of this cycle of ordering delivery but at the same time, cooking everyday has been a challenge. We also have been trying to develop some sort of routine where we meal prep on the weekends but we live in an apartment with a really small kitchen so cooking and storing food for 5 days doesn’t seem doable....
Second try at making limoncello; the peels were infused for 8 weeks in a locally distilled 45% gin. Used a coffee filter to filter out any impurities, and I think I trapped too much of the oils… leading to a crystal-clear liqueur, rather than the cloudy-neon-yellow I was going for. Oh well. Next time I’ll get actual...

I love to take an open Sunday and fill it with cooking. Anybody else? Got any fav all day dishes?...
Cat approved.
Separated all the chilis/pepper varieties onto the top, and moved all the salts to the cupboard to the right, since those two categories took too much space. Final count was 109. Phew.
Yeasted buns with walnuts, oats, poppy seeds, almond slices, sesame seeds, currants, cardamom and cinnamon.
Tell and/or show us what you’re eating and/or cooking this week!
Hi everybody! I just finished preparing a batch of Kimchi! I based my recipe off a mix of Maangchi and a recipe I got from Mother’s Kimchi. I am going to leave it out on the counter for a day or two and then stick it in the fridge to slowly fermented for 2 weeks at least....
