There’s no consequences if he doesn’t get caught. Separate him from the group, sneak around, steal, and then return to the group. The only drawback is that if he gets caught and ends up in a fight, it’s going to take you awhile to help him. He can just dash away though if you give him any movement boosts. But be forewarned. There are serious consequences to getting caught in some parts of the game, very serious consequences.
When you are chasing a specific feat, ability, or trait that comes from multi-classing. You should know why you’re doing it, and in knowing why, you’ll know when.
Instead of disabling autosave you could also give the advice to only save the game if your characters are standing still or if you are currently in a dialogue at a point where you can select an option
That should make it impossible to save the game while autosave is running
I noticed that after manually instigating a save, there’s a phase where the screen is darker and you can not move anything, after that, the screen goes back to normal and you can move again for a bit but only a little time later, the game will say “save complete” or something to that effect. And in that phase where you can move (but can also stand still), if you press escape, the save and load buttons are still greyed out. I assume that that was the critical phase where starting another save would wreck something. I can not confirm that though, but, for what it’s worth, I can say that I have had no corrupted saves since I disabled saves and pay attention to not start quicksaves before the game says save successful.
I also noticed that one patch since said that creating corrupted saves had been addressed, so maybe the whole thing would be moot now anyway.
I literally could not beat Viconia. Literally. Could. Not. I tried like 15 times, all different spells, arrangements, tactics, strategies, preparations, party members. Whatever. So I talked to her with a split party and send karlach to dispatch her during conversation in 3 hits. So I cheated. Whatever. Sue me!! I beat all the other bosses fair and square!!!
Just started a new play through, wanted to delete the old one…wasn’t going how I wanted…accidentally deleted my multiplayer save I had owing with friends…
As long as you don’t close the game, your changes don’t get synchronized to Steam Cloud. So you can head to your local Steam Cloud folder and copy the savegame from there.
It depends what you are going for. Skill Monkey, maybe not as Reliable Talent is quite good.
But if you are looking to maximize combat effectiveness you will need 5-6 lvls in another martial/Gish class since Rogue is the only martial that doesn’t get extra attack.
The reason you are seeing Rogue on this list so much though is that it’s kinda amazing for multiclassing. It’s first 4 lvls are incredibly feature rich in ways that are good for basically every martial class and some caster builds.
Cunning Action is a hell of a drug. I have to consciously stop myself from dipping Rogue 2 in my irl tabletop games too, bonus action dash or disengage is literally game changing. It redefines everything you can do within a turn.
I’m fairly fresh into act 3, just did the shadowheart part and man, that was heavy.
Definitely gonna be doing a new play though with my opposite choices though.
I do gotta say, I’m enjoying the challenge of tactician but man does my lvl 11 monk suck and is just so squishy, anyone got any recommendations to strengthen her up to take more than 2 hits?
Pre-combat: use Wholeness of Body for an extra bonus action for 3 turns
Turn 1: action attack x2, flurry of blows 3x for 6 attacks.
If you have maxed strength and pick tavern brawler, each attack is +10 damage on top of the martial arts die. Easy 100 damage per turn with Manifestation of Soul and an ok wisdom score (ie + 1d4 + 3-5 per hit passively)
