Lets say I want to ask Lemmitors a question. There might an AskLemmy community at my home server so I can ask there. But there might be a much larger AskLemmy community on a server elsewhere. Is there a way to ensure that people who subscribe to AskLemmy on the other server could also see my post on AskLemmy on my home server ?

That’s not really how I interpreted the question. I think he just wants to show all the “ask lemmy” communities in one shared feed. You could even have posts that link to the same link collapse together, like tabs for which instance’s comments you’re reading.

That would be neat and would make Lemmy feel much larger. And it would all be in the client end right?

It is fucked up that the fans who are transcribing do not get a cut, but it’s not like they were misled to believe they would make a cut before they started doing it. The people doing that are doing it out of a passion for the music.

Season 1s are great, setup, some payoff, a bit of lead into the overarching story. Then season 2 to X. The heroes win and then lose in the final episode, cliffhanger to next season. People get bored. Final season is announced and they wrap up the show.

This was always the obvious solution to me. It feels like every other year YouTube is jumping through hoops to correct some situation involving children on the platform. Simply make YouTube 18 plus, require an ID upon sign up. Instantly fix everything, except they’d make less money.

Well when I try to send one in Discord it prompts the other person to download the file instead of embedding it for them to look at
