Every instance is good because every instance can interact with many other instances with comments, posts etc. So you arent really locked into one instance. its the magic of federation.

I moved away from Windows few months ago, and i would recommend linux mint, its easy, stable and beginner friendly. And you can of course Distro Hop to another distro. And with steams proton or wine (almost) every game can be run! For those few that doesnt run good or at all, you can still dual boot windows and linux mint.

It means they can snoop ur dns queries. ( and they will do or how they pay their bills? ) It means a lot. Tbh i dont understand people like you. “It doesnt mean as much…” inderect saying “I dont have to hide something” Oh can i watch you on the toilet? Because you dont have anything to hide :)

But tbh NextDNS is the least good one. I use pihole with 1.1.1.1 upstream. I mean Nextdns could literally remove a “sponsor” from ur blacklist without ur knowledge. On local blocker not

Stack trace is terrible bad. Js for the win.

the default library is still terribly documented. OF COURSE everything is stated there but after reading the bible 3 times through you still didnt understand anything third or first party libraries!.

In python you need weirdly random packages that are inbuild but you still have to import them WHY THO??? ( looking at you typings )

The funniest thing is that python does not have a switch case where i heard it the first time, i laughed and didnt took him serious but then after looking into it, A BASIC SWITCH CASE does not exist in python. LMAO

I used pycharm, vscode ( with some extensions ), text editor, notepad++, IDLE even Thonny on my raspberry PI. Still all of them was syntax highlighting or suggestion terrible. I never knew what the function of a third party or sometimes first party library wanted.

Yup, all “anonymouse” data collection is not really anonym its of course pseudo anonym because the id is not directly calling out hey its from the pc xyz and from the person test, hoooman. Its still in the backend trackable who and where he did it.

An admin deleted all my uploads and I have no clue why (lemmy.world)

I have been uploading comic art images by Moebius for several weeks almost daily to the !eurographicnovels community, where I´m a moderator myself. All those images have disappeared. Modlog says the images have been deleted by “admin”. Modlog gives no reason for this but says the images were later restored by “admin”...

Its a common practise to ban spammers. Yes. Is LW a big corpo whose admins get paid? No! So please, misshaps can happen on every instance.

LW had many CSAM attacks ( and all of them had weird names ) and LW admins ( and others ) just seeing: Many posts, Images and then just get the ban hammer. And then you wouldnt communicate with a csam poster. But tbh i dont know the real reason, but that would be my guess. And after seeing that you are banned in “Female Porn Star” for Spam i never thought i would ever see such funny ban.

Flag them for manual review… You forgot that the MANUAL reviewers are f*cking volunteers. LW lost already few because of that trauma. And they would rather wipe a user than have a chance on spreading csam.
