It’s a great game! And Treasure seemed to work in every graphical trick they could get out of the system. There’s some impressive and chaotic graphics in that game.
I was never really interested in any Pokemon game after the first two gens. They just didn’t feel like different enough games to me. So with GBA, I only grabbed the remakes of the first gen when they came out.
It’s been on the list for a while, but there are just too many great games in the GBA library. It’s difficult to track down every cart I want (cause I kinda want all of them)
I can relate to that. Same story, but for Virtual Boy’s NA Jack Bros. Way too expensive to get now, but I got it way back when and thought I was paying too much at the time!
Ghostbusters II for NES and Game Boy (the ones developed by Hal) are the only good retro Ghostbusters games, and the only ones worth playing! Though, the Sega Genesis game is okay.
I really can’t pick a favorite. Growing up, it was Link’s Awakening. But if I had to pick only one today and I’m being honest, it would have to be Tetris.
If I had to grab something to play right this second… It would probably be something Kirby. Though I have been thinking about getting back into Harvest Moon lately.
Took all my games out of their protective cases and dumped them out on the table. Sometimes it’s just satisfying to rummage through a bunch of carts, hold them in your hands, and admire the label art. Does anyone else periodically do this with their physical games?
Me too! Unfortunately, the cart won’t fit into the Game Genie. It has a significant hump at the top that prevents it from going in backwards (like carts have to for the Game Genie).
Nice! I had seen a couple rom hacks for the originals that add the QoL changes, but I don’t remember seeing the rearranged game. I’ll have to look into it!
I am looking for a set of wired earbuds with a USBC Jack. I had a set of apple ones with an adapter but I found the adapter too unreliable. This will be for use with a google pixel phone. Anyone got a set they could suggest?
I use this adapter with Sony earbuds with my Pixel 4xl and they’ve been solid for years.
USB Type C to 3.5mm Female Headphone Jack Adapter, JSAUX USB C to Aux Audio Dongle Cable Cord Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S23 S23+ S23 Ultra, S22 S21 S20 Plus/Ultra, iPad Pro, MacBook, Pixel (Grey) a.co/d/4xdLdDF
If you can’t find what you’re hoping for, I can at least vouch for the reliability of this adapter with my (dated) Pixel phone.
I used to be a day 1 rooter and customizer, but so many of the little annoyances I’ve had with the OS over the years that I would root to change have either already changed to my preference or are now something that I can customize without root.
Years ago I inherited my wife’s family’s Game Gear. After a recap, and replacing the backlight, I started tracking down games to play on it. It’s been great exploring a whole library of games that I skipped out on as a kid! (I was a Nintendo kid) Now I have a nice little library of carts to play on this beast of a 90’s...
😬 Wasn’t prepared for that question, not sure I can pick only one.
I can say that lately I’ve been focused on Woody Pop. Slowly but surely getting the hang of that one. It’s a pretty interesting breakout/arkanoid where you are fighting your way through a toy shop. Every time you clear a room, you get a choice of which door to go through (and therefore) which room to tackle next.
There are power ups to collect, each room’s bricks seem to depict a different toy, and there’s unlimited continues. It’s a pretty simple but solid game.

Without using pronouns (me, he, she, it, etc) or articles (a, an, the), how did you come up with your user name?
Essentially, I want us to sound like cavemen....

I made it earlier this year, thought I would share. Now my VB can safely travel with me!
