Think you might want to do a bit more research on LED bulbs.
With regards to OP’s post, I mean, dad isn’t 100% wrong. The bulbs will discharge their heat into the surrounding environment. However, max suggested wattage for a refrigerator is 40w so they don’t get super hot.
Was just reading through the articles I could find about it and it seems you can’t make cylindrical batteries with it. Which sucks for existing flashlights. I’m sure if the tech ever picks up some other shape of flashlight could be made.
I’ve had a humble A10s for several years that has worked well for me but I want to replace it with something a little better and I don’t want to go broke either, and besides, I want to emulate some simple Switch games like Hollow Knight, so I’ve been researching different devices in the $150 to $300 price range and...
I think because the market got saturated with them. That and a lot of people traded them in for upgrades. I know I traded my daughter’s in to upgrade a phone.
I carry a powerbank and various USB C adapters so if someone’s device dies I can help them out. It is a lot cheaper and smaller than carrying around seven different cables....
Yep, same here. First it was the reddit migration communities, then it was the news. Then any political communities. I just want to laugh at dumb shit.
I read through my favorite books of the series every few years or so since they aren’t that long. I didn’t grow up with the series, but love it all the same.
They do get a bad rap in today’s culture, but I think most of their arguments are pretty weightless. (People say the whole idea of Chameleon’s character is sexist. Though, in my opinion, the beauty of her character whooshed right over their heads.)
Xanth lead me to David Eddings and more. I don’t read as much as I used to but if you can read and tolerate the Xanth series you can consume most anything, lol.
Is anyone even surprised that Activision is doing another shitty thing though?
It’s seemed like ever since COD2 came out it went downhill from there. Sure, there are a few they got right and attracted some loyal fans from it, but damn.
Things like this make me think we need to change contract law to include some kind of requirement that whoever is entering into a contract have actually read and understood the contract in order for their signature on it to be meaningful.
We could just have some good common sense consumer protection laws, but that will never happen.
Struggling to find a lot of music with Lidarr (New/Recent/Modern). Have a few general public/private trackers set up but still not getting many hits. From what I gather Usenet isn’t much better. And I’m not really confident in transcoding, bit rates, etc… to attempt an interview....
It took me years to actually appreciate Filter. They were always a tough sell to me no matter what song I heard. I think it was the mid-2000s before I really actually enjoyed them. I got around to it though.
I will die on this hill too. I want dumb TVs to be a thing again. Just give me ALL the I/O and I’m good. I’ve got quite a few older TVs from my previous job, but sadly none of the ones I have have any sort of audio output. (No 3.5mm, no bluetooth, nothing.)
I did misspeak a bit there. A couple of them do have Toslink, and I bought a digital to analog converter to use with my analog speakers and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I could never get the audio to work correctly. Was always cutting out, producing digital fry, and all sorts of other fun annoyances that I would have to fix on the fly. I gave up on any further effort after that.
I do know that there are HMDI audio extractor thingies out there. Might try one in the living room that’s part of an HDMI splitter. Well, more like a selector so I only have to run one cable into the TV instead of multiple.
(My electronic shelving is a few feet away from the TV so easier to hide one cable VS multiple.)
OH, that’s why everyone’s downvoting me. I forgot those even came on TVs. I only have monitors with those. Yeah, the row of side buttons that TVs used to rock is better for sure.
I donate to the Mozilla foundation, and I love Firefox a ton. But I can’t seem to like the UI by installing a theme, and when I change it to look better the browser slows to a crawl. Does it really matter all that much if I use Chromium?...
