I heard Peter Molyneux is looking for a new job.

That's the problem I have with their flavor of procedural generation: While there was some thematic difference between some planets, exploring them always felt like being on the same place.

Oddly enough I never felt this way with Minecraft and I can't say why...

On one hand, a very long bacon, on the other, the other end of said bacon.

Have a nice weekend.

I wonder if it will be like the story mode in fighting games that's a nonsense bonanza of characters suddenly wanting to fight each other for the most whimsical reasons.

massive_bereavement,
@massive_bereavement@kbin.social avatar

Fast paced means ad-hoc requests, constant changes and no roadmap whatsoever.

I hated cubicles until I discovered open offices, then I just plainly hated offices:
hated water-cooler conversations,
hated the smell of reheated meals,
the unending birthdays of people I spoke to once a year,
the parties and outings that are secretly interviews,
the idle people that are always looking for killing time chatting,
the busy people looking for a nasty rumor to climb higher,
I hated commuting and hated having to stay longer just so everyone thinks I'm working hard,

But above all, I hated the middle managers that want to both be your friend, your boss and the person that will fire you to cover a fuck up.

Sorry, I didn't want to kink-shame anyone.

Plus they can make up the car and go a bit retro futuristic which has been in style, being outrun an influence in a lot of substyles (e.g. synthwave).

Slipstream got some interesting ideas, but the game has few issues that hamper it from being great.

Would you pick those based on price or on performance?

massive_bereavement,
@massive_bereavement@kbin.social avatar

Honestly, after Christmas is better than on Black Friday IMO, because vendors then to inflate prices on the latter.

Not really. Most sushi places have them (not kaitenzushi), some bbq place do too and you can buy it at the supermarket:

Wasabi roots are common in Japan and while there are pricing variations, it's not as expensive as its told here.
Plus you can grow them in the US as well (see below).

As far as I understood temperature and water quality were very important, but it seems that isn't that hard to grow some on a pot:
https://www.thespruce.com/growing-wasabi-plants-5082985

In the description says that "You won't be able to harvest the rhizomes of most wasabi plants until the second year", so that's a lot of waiting for it.

TIL even Wasabi is in the brassica family.

If you eat the leaves, could you tell me how good they are? I'm also considering it, but it seems that's a 2 year endeavor to finally get some rhizomes..

I had the same overwhelming reaction to BG3's creation menu, but honestly, the game goes the mile to let you change everything later if you feel like it and honestly there's a "go with the flow" vibe by the fact that very few cases have instant game over conclusions.

I would say though that combat tends to be a measure twice and cut once because there's often an easy way of dealing with it, being either using the environment or exploring first another location that might give an advantage.

Freetube has been the biggest life improvement on how I consume YouTube. The fact that it gets better recommendations and I can list my subscriptions in an easy way, even import them is something I miss in all the rest of alternatives.

massive_bereavement,
@massive_bereavement@kbin.social avatar

Then I use someone else's laptop or phone and see the amount of ads everywhere and how much time is taking away from them.
How can one put up with that..
