Not that it’s feasible, but they themselves won’t have the bandwidth for a few 50gbps users 24/7.
My 1gbps service is a 2.5gbps GPON split between 32 other users, i’ve always seen 1gbps. But theoretically it would only take 3 of us to max the connection out
I installed the mull browser revently. People who are familiar with this will know that it’s a fork of firefox android. It’s hardened but I haven’t noticed much difference b/w the two. I don’t have an opinion on the conflict and each sides claims. I just know one side murdered and beheaded some children, seems a bit more severe than dropping bombs with collateral damage.
I’ve started using Duckduckgo, less specifically for the search and more for the bangs. Fed up of search surfacing sites they care about. I can now quickly search wikipedia with !w etc.
Even if you selfhost, having a cloud provider can still be a good option to maintain 3-2-1 without hosting a second server offsite (at parents or friends etc).
Samsung has released a new video in support of Google’s #GetTheMessage campaign which calls for Apple to adopt RCS or “Rich Communication Services,” the cross-platform protocol pitched as a successor to SMS that adopts many of the features found in modern messaging apps… like Apple’s own iMessage.
I switched my parents group chat to RCS from whatsapp after pestering them for ages.
Over the span of 2 months we had 4-5 inconsistencies where I would recieve a message from my mum or dad in the group that would be in another language or clearly not be written by them. It wouldn’t show up on her phone but my brother and dad would see it.
Here’s the proof of the last occassion it happened. They’re never going to switch now…
From my understanding, the P8P’s video boost can’t be done in the phone itself, but it’s actually uploading the video to Google’s servers, processing it there, then downloading the finished product back again. In fact, it probably uploads two videos, one at high ISO and one at low ISO to get the full HDR range....

This is something I am seeing more and more of. As companies start to either offer or require 2FA for accounts, they don’t follow the common standards or even offer any sort of options. One thing that drives me nuts is when they don’t offer TOTP as an option. It seems like many companies either use text messages to send a...
Mobile apps can suck a fart. I hate installing apps when the browser works perfectly fine.
SMS is way less secure but it is convenient for the masses to get your grandma easily using 2FA without any apps or more complex setup. It also doesn’t require internet like an app would.
I personally use Fido2/uauth > TOTP > Email > SMS.

I use an app on my phone and it’s all just done for you.
Someone recommends a show or movie? Open app, search for show and add it.
In the background the setup will automatically search the download providers you’ve setup (Usenet or torrents), filter them for the quality profile, download the files and place them in the correct folder ready to stream on Plex.
Loake boots, goodyear welted and a great quality leather. They have some wrinkles but I look after them, on my second sole and when conditioned they look amazing.
Yeah I have a weber BBQ from around 1980 that I bought used about 10 years ago. I abuse it and it has the odd rusing spot and some dents but it’s great!!
I bought a Weber MT charcoal BBQ recently and it’s just as nice. Hopefully have this one for years too.
Yup same here. It’s also made me realise I don’t ever want to be tied into a platform anymore.
I’ve been moving cloud, passwords, email, accounts, podcasts, notes, news etc all to platforms or services that are either selfhosted or are easily exportable and can be backed up for access into another platform.
I’ll start off by saying everyone’s economic situations are just as varied as their threat models and how people make decisions on which services can be specific to themself and not one that can apply to anyone else.
