nvidia-535 and Debian
Hello friends. I’d like to ask if any of you knows when/if Debian will finally include the nvidia-535 proprietary driver. It’s kind of a pain in the ass to install it manually and keep it updated. Thanks!

How much bigger would a gnu/linux operating system be if there were no library packages and every program included its own libraries?
I’m talking about things like “python3-blabla” and “libsomething”. How bad would it be if nobody used these library-packages and everyone just added all kinds of libraries as part of an application’s package?

Looking for a decent privacy-respecting search engine
Been using SearXNG for about a year now, and I just can’t deal with instances constantly getting blocked by search engines anymore. So I’d like to find something a bit more reliable. edit: feel free to reply no matter how old this thread gets!...
Brave will not add Web Integration support (twitter.com)
I think we need all support we can get to fight Google on this, so I welcome Brave here actually....

Google is already pushing Web Environment Integrity into Chromium (github.com)
CHROME (google) is planing to implement DRM (kinda) into their browser (lemmy.dbzer0.com)
looks like rendering adblockers extensions obsolete with manifest-v3 was not enough so now they try to implement DRM into the browser giving the ability to any website to refuse traffic to you if you don’t run a complaint browser ( cough…firefox )...

Hey, I use the Adobe Suite for daily use to build and develop posts and videos for multiple people and can't have my workflow slow down by learning a new application, I've looked into Linux a few times and want to really move over in the future but due to it not having support for Adobe, I'm not sure what to do....
Is there really no viable alternative for Photoshop on Linux?
I’m starting this off by saying that I’m looking for any type of reasonably advanced photo manipulation tool, that runs natively under Linux. It doesn’t have to be FOSS....
Does anyone actually like the default GNOME workflow?
I gave it a fair shot for about a year, using vanilla GNOME with no extensions. While I eventually became somewhat proficient, it’s just not good....
