How is it better? You missed to address the adminstrative, financial, and judicial corruption, on top of violent oppression and extrajudicial killings, torture and violation of human rights that happens under dictatorships. Ask egyption liberal city dewellers if things were better under Morse, the Islamic brotherhood president who was elected or now under the corrupt military dictatorship of Sisi. They were still able to protest and hold ministers accountable, and even crticize the president himself. Not to mention their freedom of expression, human rights, judicials, elections, ecomony all were miles better. I live in a very strict and conservative country and once a young girl passed out in front of everyone. Her sister was panicking screaming at her to try to breath. It does not have to be life over dignity. There can be a middle ground they could at least provide a cover while doing their thing. I know a teen girl who changed school, did therapy and tried to sue because she once had a seizure and they stripped her naked in front everyone to save her. I tried one called Lemmur that I downloaded off F-Droid, however, it can not find this instance (lemmy.world). I want one that’s open-source, and preferably from F-Droid (because screw Google). Which one do you guys use?
Lemmy is confusing and poorly limited. How does Lemmy work? Why are there so many Lemmy clones? Do I have to sign up for each of them? Does my post show on each of them?
