Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
The game may have been 25 years in development, but their AAA standards must have also been from that time.
There would have been a period of time where Starfield’s release would be heralded as one of the greats (probably 2013-2017). But in 2023, it already looked outdated on release.
Obviously it’s not exactly a 1:1 comparison, but think of the image having HDR metadata like an HDR YouTube video. Even though it’s compressed, it could still contain HDR attributes like 10-bit color or a certain screen brightness when viewing the specific images.
Yea were still in that transition period. One of the other problems is having RTX requirements only. Eventually the GTX cards will have to die out in order for this to be achieved though.
It’s the age old argument of “if there is no God, how do we teach what is right or wrong?”
Yes we can teach morals and ethics without a creator in place. As Penn from Penn and Teller would put it. “I don’t need the fear of eternal damnation to tell me that I shouldn’t murder. I shouldn’t murder because it’s wrong”.

so is it possible to watch pirated shows and movies together over the internet? me and my friends cant meet up because we’re hours away from eachother.
Discord streaming is the way. Most of my friends don’t care about super high quality either so a little compression doesn’t hurt. Plus there are ways to bypass the 720p restrictions, too.
Ignoring the security implications, I miss kb large old raw html websites that loaded instantly on DSL internet. Nowadays shit is too fancy because hardware allows that, but I feel we’re just constantly running into more bugs first and then worry about them later....
Oh, I just thought older websites were less secure. But I guess now that I think about it, you only got viruses if you clicked on the sketchy links yourself.
No need. As someone who understands web development enough to know I know nothing about web development, it makes sense to me why the internet is what it is today. It’s all about establishing a brand and identity now so doing extra things can make you stand out.
While YouTube has gotten more sluggish over the years, I do think some recent changes like ambient mode have been pretty cool. I also support reasonable hardware requirements because things get obsolete over time.
I guess I just miss the simplicity of early internet browsing more compared to all the bloat that exists today.
I literally have a vertical monitor to avoid the middle strip of text problem. It especially sucks for higher resolution monitors, it just feels like so much wasted space on the left and right side of the article.
If I’m doing documents, it’s basically columns so I can read it like papers. But then one day I just decided to turn a monitor into one big column. Turns out finding wallpapers for it is pretty easy too because mobile wallpapers work.
I never claimed to have issues? I’m just saying the internet today is just filled with so much bloat and ad trackers. I do like some changes over time, but the era of just raw html and organized websites, and a lack of clickbait was nice.
Everyone sleeping on qBittorrent with the search plugin enabled. I never have to go to websites ever again, I can just pull from various domains with one search built into the program.
I gotta say the switch commercial is probably the most clever at attracting the Apple folk. Tbh it really is as easy as plugging in a cable and hitting transfer. My mom recently went from Android to Apple and she pretty much has to start completely fresh; some apps even refuse to accept Android backups because Apple isn’t huge on file managers.
Alphabet Inc.’s Google Pixel is eroding the iPhone’s dominance in Japan as the Apple Inc. device gets pricier, finding success after years of misfires....
Eh, it’s still decent. I’m going on 2 years strong on my P6 and I’m still averaging 6.5-7ish hours of SoT a day. As a Pixel fan, my only honest complaint is their value doesn’t hold well in the long run. You can get older pixels at a heavily discounted price in the used market.
Competition is good. I’ve been an Apple hater for years but I’ll acknowledge their engineers are top notch (lol). Every company has its good and bad sides.
My personal dream phone would be a combination of a bunch of phones. Give me Apple hardware running PixelOS on a folding screen with a headphone jack.
They’ve been doing 2 years and that’s a good time to be an exclusive, but also port a game over. I’d imagine porting is harder than people think and even 1 year may not be enough time to iron out all the bugs for nearly every hardware combination possible.

I don’t mind the art style per se, it’s the animation style I’m sick of. We have crazy good technology and shit is still animated like some super advanced flash animation. There’s no more emotions and intentions behind the strokes of the brush like before. The line work is just consistent and bland.

It lets you remove (or just disable) preinstalled apps like Facebook, Netflix, etc. and system apps like samsung knox apps, diagnostic, bixby, and even One UI (but you must have installed other launcher). But I more meant that Apple kinda has too much control over their own iOS. Google even allows different flavors of Android to exist like OneUI, NothingOS, or even all the Chinese ones too.
I’m still waiting on putting my homescreen icons wherever I want and changing the grid size. Jailbroken iPhones are truly the best way to use those devices.
You look at android themes and every phone looks unique. Go on iOS setups and they’re almost all the same but arranged slightly differently.

Do the semantics matter? It’s a public theater regardless.
You can’t demonize more if the situation is already bad. If you want a full sentence, then “fondled in a theater full of children and adults” which is equally as bad.
