Dude I have less faith in OnePlus. If anything I think the Zenfone, Xperia, or even Nothing are better companies to check out. That being said, I may just hold on to my P6 until the 10.
The original owners have since sold off the company to BBK Electronics in China and now China manufactures them. Now they sometimes share designs with other Chinese phones like Oppo, but more importantly OxygenOS has changed from a mostly stock Android rom to basically the US version of the Chinese ColorOS. So not only has the hardware been copied and pasted, but so has the hardware and people just don’t trust that.
Now the old CEO of OnePlus ended up ditching the company to form his own startup Nothing. There currently exists the Nothing Phone 1 and 2 and I’ve kinda been eyeing them in case they make a super interesting product one year.
The Galaxy S5 is still ahead of its time today. Minus high refresh rate because 60hz was the standard in 2014, but it also had a headphone jack and heart rate sensor built in as well.

Idk, I feel like Google has tested this stuff and it might just look better this way. For example, the G in Google isn’t perfectly circle nor are all the colors lined up correctly. Ironically, it’s slightly oval to optically make it look more circular.

It’s not just reddit. They’re AI assisted buttons with more tabs for commons searches. Many people add “reddit” after a search to find answers specifically on reddit. It’s also catered differently per user so you might see TikTok or Quora as other buttons up top as well.
Google search results will also slightly vary among users.
I think the boss is fairly readable and I can take it down quickly, it’s just annoying that it can fly out of bounds where I can’t hit it but it can still fire at me. That and your starting mech isn’t the best either but I got an S rank on that level after 4-5 attempts.
Kuru Togas for sure for their rotating lead engine. The Advanced Upgrade specifically is my daily driver. The Pentel GraphGear 1000 is also a very comfortably hefty pencil. Modern day religion. In the past your faith was quite important and dictated morals. It’s unfortunate it’s been so twisted over the years. And by past I’m not just saying the 50s, but even back in the 1500s.
I’m not religious myself, but “God” played a role in at least trying to comprehend the world before science. Whatever we didn’t know was “God” until we did know. I don’t think modern society needs it, but our concept and understanding of the world and universe is so broad now that we don’t.
It’s dangerous now to label whatever we don’t know as “God” but earlier in humanity I think it’s part of the reason why some (not all) laws and morals were established in the first place.
Everything has two sides to it. I think it was predominantly used more for good back in earlier civilizations, but I don’t think there’s a need for it today.
It’s much easier now in 2023 to be able to look back at how religion was used for thousands of years and criticize it. I’m an atheist myself and I think the necessity of religion was to learn from it and advanced society. Today I think we’re so advanced we no longer need it.
What? Look, I’m an atheist myself by choice but I’ve seen religion fix up a homeless man and through “God” he was able to get himself back on his feet and reenter society. I think reddit/Lemmy has too big of a hate on religion, but in the outside world it’s still the majority dominated beliefs.
Plus you can’t overgeneralize “religion” as there’s about 4000 of them. Buddhism is pretty dope if you read into it. Regardless, I think we will see a shift into more atheists/agnostic people in the future though.
Yea I don’t think I’m changing your opinion here. I think everything has two sides to it. I’m of the opinion of just let people live their lives. Shoving atheism down everyone’s throat is equally as annoying as shoving religion. Remember that religion ≠ Christianity. The Greeks gods are also pretty cool in my opinion.
It’s just human nature to “worship” something. Whether it be materialism or idealism. As I see it, there couldn’t have been an early world without religion because humans are just that way.
