Spiralvortexisalie,

A motor and a generator are essentially the same thing just the direction of electricity determines whether they turn mechanical to physical energy or the reverse. Making two generators is equal to two motors or 1 of each depending on installation.

Snorlax only opens it eyes to hyper-beam, this has to be a Ditto who used mimic.

Counter-point, on the Steam Deck/ SteamOS almost anything involving getting past the one app shell (Steam) or installing from a store (flathub) requires terminal and often does not survive system updates. It honestly sounds like Windows 8 typing it out.

A breakdown that covers above theory: www.thinkersbiblestudies.com/people-before-adam

why do some people really dislike google??

i don’t want to offend anyone, but some open source/privacy enthusiasts dislike google, but why?? google has made chromium, android, etc and most of the things they do are open source, and not only that, they also support creative commons media or public domain. i know the privacy concernes they may have, but they would never...

Spiralvortexisalie,

Personally Google gives me a negative impression due to its intrusiveness and current aim of hoovering up all data possible. While you seem certain Google would never hurt you, there are many people who would never take such a risk. Even if Google was purely good of heart (which I doubt), they have proven themselves subjects to Government whims. A recent example is here: theregister.com/…/google_keyword_search_warrants/ where a court in the United States ordered Google to return personally identifying information on any and all users who searched for the address of a crime in the month prior. And their commitment to open source is debatable as shown by their graveyard of projects (killedbygoogle.com) often killed with strong usage and with dubious explanations really has strong Embrace, Extend, Extinguish vibes.

Spiralvortexisalie,

There are some, myself included, who believe many of the “mainstream” projects are only open to avoid antitrust lawsuits in America. The reason why there is chromium vs chrome and AOSP Android vs Google Android, is to take advantage of the confusion to make it sound as if the actual Google product is open source, where as the Google product is based upon the open source project. This makes it sound like anybody could copy Google’s product and give them a run for their money, which is obviously not the case.

Spiralvortexisalie,

If you turn it upside down and divide the thigh, the smears become the panels from loss.

Spiralvortexisalie,

The question was how it could possibly co-exist, an answer was proffered, and you felt offended by the thought and a need to squash it from existence? Meanwhile, how certain are you of any reality? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_in_a_vat

Spiralvortexisalie,

I do not recognize this artwork and the style is a little different but this definitely has Roy Lichtenstein vibes, some more of his stuff here: www.wikiart.org/en/roy-lichtenstein/all-works#

According to Reuters his body was kept because of legal processes that should have just been cleared up now, two years later. Source: reuters.com/…/spanish-court-rules-software-mogul-…

Spiralvortexisalie,

Lightening cables have easy to clean contacts and a hard to break jack, I have broken many many usb-c cables just stepping on them or rolling over them with an office chair or getting filled with lint on the inside of the jack.

Spiralvortexisalie,

It is the National Guard, there are probably way more people there for GI Bill benefits than some political ideology.

Spiralvortexisalie,

Have you not heard the shabbat siren in Brooklyn ran by orthodox Jews and also run every Friday? They are literal air raid sirens in Williamsburg. https://www.jta.org/jewniverse/2014/brooklyns-weekly-shabbos-air-raid-siren

Spiralvortexisalie,

Sounds like the Internet Protocol I grew up with 😍

Spiralvortexisalie,

Unfortunately the way these things work and why these protections exist is that these bad actors will have greatly involved arguably clean handed third parties. As noted in the article, loss of their equipment assets will render them unable to complete contracts of average citizens and leave incomplete, so possibly unsafe long term, buildings behind. Thats obviously not the best outcome, it just sucks that often the guys forcing these bad outcomes will hold everybody hostage unless they get saved too.

Spiralvortexisalie,

Many of the scanning apps allow for customer and patron lists be built off the scans, even without that feature they usually store everything contained in a scan. That barcode on the back of American Licenses will often have more information than even the front. I don’t know about current standards, but at least one American state had your ssn as your id# and a few others would include it in the barcode scan. It really depends state by state how much info is in a code but it almost always more than whats on the front.

Spiralvortexisalie,

Its more towards the comment that only date of birth is seen, and that every scan is way more invasive than it seems. Overall I am not sure if I think its the best state, but the cat is so far out of the bag on this one its hard to consider it private. Almost every hotel has photocopied my license, and in many downtown areas, for a few years at least now, you have to scan your license to get a badge to enter the building to attend a meeting or appointment. Somehow the folder of license photocopies at the perpetually empty front desk inspire no confidence in privacy, hopefully the desk is locked?

Spiralvortexisalie,

I can’t say its to the masses per se, but there are many women who sell their excess breast milk online for other mothers, so kind of close?

Spiralvortexisalie,

I believe that is due to a lack of advanced camera hardware. I believe SE series all have simple cameras compared to the various(infrared, etc.) multi camera setups that are on the higher end models.

When the fuck did a mobile hotspot become something you have to pay extra for?

It’s my goddamn motherfucking mobile data and MY PHONE. I should be able to use it however I want. My wifi went down because the greedy, cunt-faced shitbags at Comcast stole taxpayer subsidies to enrich themselves instead of actually providing the service we’re paying for. I tried to switch to a mobile hotspot and my phone...

Spiralvortexisalie,

Yes, I don’t know all the solutions but one would be using iptables in linux and mangling the packets to adjust ttl, “normal” ttl can vary by carrier though, and with many phones there is an extra hop to account for as the phone is a router. You should be able to tell from a ping or trace route whats “normal”, but nowadays with carrier grade nat, I think it gets messed up sometimes.

Spiralvortexisalie,

Lol its in last place behind an ad based mobile os that just came out #Progress

Spiralvortexisalie,

I wonder if someone in Somalia is worried about “getting caught” or if piracy out in the open works fine for them

Spiralvortexisalie,
