idkman,

KVM would be a safe way to test your pirated software. But it downgrades the performance.

idkman,

WhatsApp was build upon XMPP protocol. You can look into XMPP clients.

Besides that WhatsApp is not the way to communicate anyway. Normies use it because it is put up on their face and considered to be widely acceptable among them, while rhey don’t understand how privacy invading it is.

idkman,

XMPP? It works.

idkman,

Well ofcourse. WhatsApp works on a propriatary network where they store all your chats

idkman,

Technically NFT, a token is linked/owned by a wallet address. Which you cannot pirate/dublicate.

But in case of nft images, those tokens are linked to an image on ipfs through dapps, which you can download. But there is legal uncertainty about these images.

idkman,

The only way to access clearnet through i2p is exitproxy.

The plugin “I2P Helper” states

Provides connectivity via the I2P network. Supports downloading via the anonymous I2P network. This includes DHT support for decentralised tracking.

github.com/BiglySoftware/BiglyBT/wiki/I2P

The plugin allows to use I2P on biglyBT.

Also, github.com/BiglySoftware/BiglyBT/wiki/I2P#user-co…

EDIT: Rather use Tor.

How is pirating software a thing?

I understand that sharing video, photos, documents etc. is relatively safe because the data is not executed in the processor as instructions. How come people are willing to download and install pirated software though? How can one be confident that it does not contain malicious addons? Are people just don’t know the risks? Or...

idkman,

Denuvo games performed worse than the cracked version, FYI.

idkman,

You can try out nextDNS. It has a list of blockers and you can track and block what request are being made by your phone.

Additionally, DNS-crypt proxy can be a good alternative too.

idkman,

I started using it on a daily bases since I switched to Linux. The distro I use as daily driver and other large projects have their support team on IRC.

It is much much better than posting on forums. You get instant response.

idkman,

I can assure you this is not the case.

I’ve tested Cyberpunk 2077 on Ubuntu (not my daily driver) and it works like you’re playing on windows. Only downside is that you can’t use ray tracing since Nvidia kept that tech proprietary and exclusive to windows for now.

See, Linux doesn’t fully supports nvidia gpu, but still I’m having a great experience.

idkman,

Say what? How?

idkman,

I won’t really trust Bitlocker coming from Microsoft.

idkman,

I’ve nothing against NSA_KEY nor Bitlocker, but anything in context with GAFAM I take it with grain of salt.

idkman,

What are you talking about? Ofcourse everyone should worry about backdoors and other vulnerabilities. But I’m sceptical if bitlocker is the right solution.

On a serious note I use a lot of tools to circumvent those vulnerabilities.

idkman,

you mean Jackett? Yeah, I’ve already figured that one out.

idkman,

Thanks, but I already came across this: github.com/…/Unofficial-search-plugins.

My issue is with seeding. I’m able to download at full bandwidth.

EDIT: There are lot of guides/tutorial online which lead nowhere. I came across the forum but I’m not sure my queries will be helped in time.

idkman,
idkman,

If you mean torrent queue, it is disabled. The port I’m using is open in the firewall and the router. I’m using firewalld.

I have been looking into *arr. I just need some time to implement it 😉

idkman,
idkman,

Hey I updated to your settings. Didn’t work out

idkman,

It’s off on private tracker

idkman,

I reckon it has something to do with advance tab

idkman,

On my router config, under port forwarding, I’ve forwarded a port range of 9000-31000. Now qBittorrent is using 30000.

For testing. I’ve stopped firewalld too. Still no luck.

idkman,

How can I resolve that?

idkman,

where can I find the transmission settings?

It’s a home PC with no VPN

idkman,

I was just reusing the ports I’ve forwarded for i2p

idkman,

Some good news. It appears that the tracker didn’t had anyone downloading the torrent while I was seeding it. Because I tried seeding a public torrent, and it worked without any issue (although it still states a warning of “no direct connection”).

The executive log might just be handy. I was full of questions what is going without the software telling me what it isn’t able to.

I’ll keep a look out. I saw a few megabytes of upload on the private tracker. Lol.

idkman,

Is that qBittorrent? If you meant transmission as in the torrenting software, I’ve never used it. Before switching to qBit I was using aria2 😅.

Btw, thanks to all of you, the problem appears to be resolved. Its a matter of tracker requesting seeds now.

idkman,

The website you mentioned made me laugh cause it mentions some weird files I never come across.

idkman,

Yeah 😅

idkman,

aHR0cHM6Ly9jcy5yaW4ucnUvZm9ydW0vaW5kZXgucGhw

idkman,

Can it get worse than this?

idkman,

Windows defender is more than enough. On Linux, you don’t need one, but there’s clamAV, which scan for windows viruses.

idkman,

Rootkits?

idkman,
  • if you configure your node correctly, you won’t see much difference in bandwidth.
  • i2psnark can be fast.
  • but clearnet comes with an issue of tracking.
idkman,

It’s not really a hassle to configure your i2p node. I2p network recently went through a DDOS attack. Even during that point of time I had no issue surfing/torrenting.

idkman,

This is exactly what I’m looking forward too!

idkman, (edited )

Agreed. Even getting support over an issue (initially) was troublesome. But somehow I ended up solving it through other channels. But just like torrenting, or any other tech, once you get enough experience to solve issues on your own, things get a bit easy.

A tech being easy to grasp can be an issue too, leading to more script kitties messing in with the protocol.

idkman,

Can you trust Tor or VPN? Tor was developed with the help of US intelligence to help build a anonymous network.

idkman,

That’s great. But not everyone is interested learning and setting up their own VPS. If it was trivial no VPN service would be in business.

idkman,

Damn Anna, you so hot! I’m gonna kiss you!
