PlantJam,

And a tailor will be surprisingly inexpensive.

PlantJam,

The other stuff submitted by this person was of similarly low quality.

PlantJam,

The Biden administration is proposing a ban on TCE, a highly toxic chemical commonly used in stain removers, adhesives and degreasers, and which had been found to be contaminating drinking water on a wide scale across the US.

PlantJam,

Asking the question eight times is not kid gloves. We need more interviews like this.

PlantJam,

Google offered $150 for my nearly new 7, I’m sure there will be quite a few on the used market.

PlantJam,

And that’s why I have bots blocked. Thank you for providing the list!

PlantJam,

I currently have a 130 mile range EV and my partner has an ICE vehicle. Long term we want both to be EV, but we’re waiting due to road trips.

PlantJam,

More people should be taking care of their vitamin D levels. It’s a really common deficiency.

Getting enough fat is easy, but my vegan recipes are the only ones that I intentionally add extra oil to fix the macros. It’s just easier to eat a reasonable amount of fat on a vegan diet compared to a constant excess in a non vegan diet.

PlantJam,

Two great examples to illustrate this point:

I’m thinking of ending things (rottentomatoes.com/…/im_thinking_of_ending_things), 82% critic score, 49% audience score. This movie takes “it makes you think” to a whole new dimension. It’s two hours and fourteen minutes of melancholic confusion, wondering if you missed something important, then it’s over without ever really resolving anything. You’re on your own to connect the dots and make sense of the movie, or more likely you’ll have to do additional research to figure out what the plot actually was. I don’t regret watching it, but I also can’t recommend it.

Red Notice (www.rottentomatoes.com/m/red_notice), 39% critic score, 92% audience score. Bland, forgettable plot with cool effects. Explosions, The Rock, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds. A fun, enjoyable movie to stream on a weeknight, but not something I would have paid to see in theaters.

PlantJam,

No smell, but maybe sound? Only one way to find out for sure.

PlantJam,

27" just feels like the right size for a monitor to me. Anything bigger and I’d have to get it further away from my chair somehow.

PlantJam,

Are those the coils that cause an inflammatory response to block the fallopian tubes? There are some horror stories about the reactions they can cause in some people.

PlantJam,

Looks like you’re right. Does five hours seem anywhere near enough for cold brew, though? I typically aim for around 36 hours.

PlantJam,

Not even just an actual hangover. It feels like I’m not properly hydrated for several days after a night of moderate drinking.

PlantJam,

Check out last epoch, too, if you haven’t already.

PlantJam,

Good call. It’s in a very enjoyable state currently, but 1.0 promises to add so much!

PlantJam,

I absolutely agree. I liked a lot about this game, but not enough to actually finish it. Combat was just frustrating, especially going from feeling powerful to powerless seemingly at random.

I think I got this game for around half price. Despite my criticisms, I still feel like I got my money’s worth out of it. Definitely recommended at $10.

PlantJam,

Getting back into Last Epoch again. Really excited to finally have a launch date for 1.0 in February 2024.

PlantJam,

What you describe sounds exactly like a partially clogged filter. If you’re using a metal screen filter, try giving it a thorough scrub and wash with dish soap.

Note that stirring can actually make the “grinds blocking” effect worse rather than better in some setups.

PlantJam,

You could try throwing the cloth filter in the washing machine. I suspect your stirring may actually be causing the cloth filter to clog, though.

PlantJam,

That’s great news, I’m glad it worked out!

PlantJam,

Think of it as a middle ground of complexity between D3 and PoE. It’s a ton of fun even in its current early access/beta state.

PlantJam,

PoE is most complex, D3 is least complex, and Last Epoch is in the middle.

PlantJam,

I appreciate seeing games referred to as soulslike. Immediate hard pass. The genre has a lot to offer and I see why so many people like the games, but for some reason I just really don’t ever want my own skills as a player to determine the outcome of combat.

PlantJam,

Yeah, I don’t think I’ve heard it from anyone else either. It generally only applies to PvE content like in RPGs. I do enjoy some shooters like CS:GO.

PlantJam,

I would sooner support content creators directly via patreon than sign up for YouTube premium or disable my ad blocker.

PlantJam,

Texas actually has a pretty great law about replacing lawns with drought tolerant alternatives. This article gives a good summary: greenrightnow.com/hoas-must-consider-drought-tole…

The article mentions some concerns about still allowing HOAs to require homeowners to submit plans for approval, but in my experience just mentioning the state law is enough to get any denial overturned.

PlantJam,

enough data

To be clear, about three seconds of your voice is “enough”.

PlantJam,

Don’t most things need a lower dose when injected? I wonder if the bad parts would still go up if a more comparable dose was used.

Samsung joins Google in RCS shaming Apple (www.theverge.com)

Samsung has released a new video in support of Google’s #GetTheMessage campaign which calls for Apple to adopt RCS or “Rich Communication Services,” the cross-platform protocol pitched as a successor to SMS that adopts many of the features found in modern messaging apps… like Apple’s own iMessage.

PlantJam,

Some android messaging apps have the ability to interpret emoji reactions and display them correctly. The issue with photo and video quality is infuriating, though.

Louisiana public school principal apologizes after punishing student for dancing at a party (apnews.com)

The 17-year-old student government president and scholarship candidate was videotaped dancing at an off-campus party following Walker High School’s Sept. 30 Homecoming festivities. A hired DJ took the video and posted it on social media. Three days later, Jason St. Pierre, principal of the public high school near the state...

PlantJam,

An interesting perspective. Wrong, but interesting.

PlantJam,

No grouping and full text labels is also why I reverted back to windows 10.

PlantJam,

Owners that are sitting are giving their dog a space to be territorial over. If they’re standing and walking, the dog will be on guard for their owner, but not necessarily territorial. I haven’t noticed any correlation with breed, but the ones you mentioned are definitely some of the repeat offenders.

PlantJam,

I’m interested in VR, but the cost of decent, non-oculus hardware is prohibitive.

PlantJam,

Without looking at your links, there is no reason any new laptop wouldn’t be able to run any distro. If it’s capable of running windows, it will absolutely be capable of running Linux. The only hardware-ish issue I can think of that would impact that is how the HDD/SSD is formatted, but getting the file system correct is a routine step of any OS install.

Are there any specific hardware concerns you have about the laptop?

PlantJam,

Your first idea is correct. You’ll likely need spacers to allow the screws for the box to tighten properly. I installed a heavy hose reel on similar siding using that method.

Personally I would consult with an electrician for a job like this, but I’m also not comfortable doing any electrical work more serious than hanging a ceiling fan.

PlantJam,

Perlite or similar soil additive. No need to remove them or worry.

PlantJam,

You’re right about perlite. I’ve seen the yellowish spheres in other potting soil, though.

PlantJam,

Yes, you absolutely could. But should you? Also yes, because this is amazing.

PlantJam,

This is what I used for a similar switch as OP and it worked well.

PlantJam,

Last Epoch is in a pretty great place currently if you like the ARPG genre. It’s still in beta/early access, but it should have its full 1.0 launch within the next year. For me, it’s the perfect middle ground of complexity between D3/4 and PoE.

PlantJam,

Sounds like quite a selling point for the vegan sausage.

FBI searches for growing number of Jan. 6 fugitives (www.cbsnews.com)

For one of the biggest moments of his life, Eric Bochene wore a faded white t-shirt and sat in an empty, green-walled conference room, straining to hear the volume from the computer. He grimaced as the virtual conference technology glitched. And he frequently voiced his frustration with his situation....

PlantJam,

You could also compare the number of insurrectionists per capita to the expected number. For example, state x has 4% of the country’s population but 6% of the insurrectionists.

PlantJam,

A content filter for the word “reddit” might be worthwhile for you. It’s a feature I use in sync, but I’m sure other apps also support it.

PlantJam,

Solarizing is the easiest way to do this, but it takes a lot of patience. Depending on your area you may need to start now to have your site ready for spring planting. Search for a guide on exactly how to do it, but basically you cover the grass in clear plastic to create a greenhouse effect that will kill the grass and any seeds. You water before putting down the plastic to encourage seeds to germinate. Once you’re done (four weeks minimum, more is better) you remove the plastic and plant your plants.

Depending on the type of grass you have, tilling may not be effective. It also may be very difficult if your area is as rocky as you say it is.

Another option is to use a shovel to dig up strips of sod and flip them over. This should be almost as effective as solarizing, but it’s much faster (no waiting) and much harder work.

PlantJam,

If you have the time to do it, it’s absolutely the best and easiest way. It’s hard to postpone landscape projects, but doing them in the right season is setting up your project for success. Good luck, and don’t forget to take progress pictures!

PlantJam,

I’ve seen so many Amazon drop ship listings on ebay. They don’t even use different pictures.
