I love the idea of these houses, but I think multi family plans should be considered as well. I’m sure they could drum up plans for multi level triplexes that would fit on many lots in cities where density is an issue.
The only thing stopping Fortnite from running on Linux is the anticheat. The anticheat it uses it made by Epic, and has a specific option for WINE compatibility.
EAC has a check box for Proton compatibility. Battleeye is linux native. All they have to do is check a box, and test to see if they can break it. If they let it out in the works and there’s some influx of cheaters, they can check the box again. Halo Infinite, Apex Legends, Smite, Battlebit etc etc were all capable of checking the box and testing.
I suspect Sweenys hesitation over support is caused by a lack of control.
Upgrading EAC in an unreal engine game is trivial, it’s basically baked into the engine. They update EAC all the time.
The Infinity Blade or Minigore series, for example, or anything made by Illusion Labs. These games are genius and most consoles don’t even have a touch screen or utilise it well like some smartphone games do....
Who cares what other people think of you’re having fun?
Personally, I’ve never really had a good experience with mobile games. I keep trying, but the games I get recommended seem shallow, and I have a serious aversion to ads so that ruins most mobile experiences for me. The games I have enjoyed on mobile are mostly puzzle games, or clones and ports of games from other systems. But who cares what I think if you have fun. My partner spends way more time playing games on their phone than on PC or PS5. Different strokes, and all that.
Even before Origin, EA offered online sales with their EA Downloader app and it was a freaking nightmare. Terrible speeds, and you could only download a game so many times, and any purchases didn’t transfer to Origin.
In case you’re out of the loop, the old Steam Deck had Philips screws that screwed into self-tapping plastic holes. This lead to occasional stripped threads and often stripped screwheads....
I’m always curious how long people spend staying at their desktops. My laptop has six virtual desktops and I can’t see the background on any of them.
One for each uni course and one for general use, and they all have 2-3 windows open. It’s super handy for school since I can just swipe and pick up where I left off on every course.
Edit: That’s not to take away from a gorgeous desktop. It looks really nice.
I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) smartphone which currently has the stock Samsung Android OS installed on it. I wanted to install an Android “distro” that doesn’t spy on me, like Graphene OS, but I couldn’t find a ROM for it. Since I would probably need to compile AOSP from source code anyways, I though, why not install...
Yeah, basically that. I’m back at work in Windows land on a Monday morning, and pondering what sadist at Microsoft included these features. It’s not hyperbole to say that the startup repair, and the troubleshooters in settings, have never fixed an issue I’ve encountered with Windows. Not even once. Is this typical?...
This guy thinks you can do what you want with Windows.
Disabling updates is such a ridiculous thing because sometimes it works, and sometimes Windows just ignores you.
I’ve literally had two exact model laptops running as local render servers, fully updated, then disabled updates/reboots on both, around a month later one updated and rebooted dumping my workload and corrupting my database. Disabling anything on Windows doesn’t always work, it does what it wants.
This would really rely on having a very competent and trust worthy source, and in not sure if that exists for software the same way it does for movies/ TV shows.
Only one item can be delivered at a time. It can’t weigh more than 5 pounds. It can’t be too big. It can’t be something breakable, since the drone drops it from 12 feet. The drones can’t fly when it is too hot or too windy or too rainy....
Freedom of speech or freedom of expression isn’t freedom from consequences. Words matter, and they have consequences, and people should consider the consequences of their speech in public.
It’s complicated. Legally we don’t have “freedom of speech”.
For clarification: Do I believe that’s a core human value? Absolutely.
Do I believe that tolerance is a social contact we should all abide by? Very much so!
Do I trust society to regulate itself? Heck no, from a sociological point of view that’s a mess for lots of reasons. In smaller communities it may be ideal, but anything anyone says now is considered on a global scale.
So, from where I stand, it makes sense for a governing body to place limited restrictions on what a person should be allowed to say in the public sphere. This specific issue is debatable and relies on a certain amount of faith in the institution. Is it right that these people were punished for saying their beliefs? That’s another complicated view that depends on a case by case basis. Is it legally allowable that a politician be censured for what they say? That depends on what they said. Is it morally allowable? From a moral absolutionist point of view, probably not, but our charters were made to prevent people from calling for violence in the public sphere. Is it morally acceptable to allow for someone to call for violence in a very real way as a political representative? What constitutes violence? How far can we deconstruct the rhetorical arguments our society is based on?
It’s complicated. We don’t have freedom of speech and we don’t have freedom from consequences. If you give people you agree with freedom from consequences you also have to give it to the people you don’t agree with.

Greenbell Nail Clippers. Freaking sharp as anything and they’ve been my goto for about 10 years. I got them the same time I got my safety razor which is a great, cheap, beard removal tool.
There’s a ton of nuance on this issue, and I support people as long as they don’t do the things you said.
It was the same thing with the freedom convoys, if they had ejected radicals and Nazis, I would have been inclined to listen. If these protests start supporting Hamas, or not ejected people who do then they would lose my support.
I have not seen any antisemitism, or support of Hamas in any of these protests, so far just a lot of concern for people who are being oppressed by a significantly more powerful body politic.
I think this is because TNG had a very serious tone, and very ridiculous plots. Surface level they spent a lot of time adjusting shirts and trying to act prim and respectful with horns and orchestra in the background, then someone turns into a spider.
I think this causes people to see different things in it.

If people want to use Brave, or Windows, or install screen doors on their submarines who am I to complain?
The fact is for a lot of people, Brave offers a superior out of box experience compared to firefox or almost any other browser. In terms of ad blocking, speed and ease of use, it’s pretty much second to none. The fact that you install it and go is really appealing and how easy they make the slider to adjust the aggressiveness of the script blocking is great ui that my dad mother could use.
Yes, the company isn’t very good, it’s headed by a guy with a questionable history and has a poor track record when it comes to monetization strategy. I stopped using Brave this year, but for ages it was my goto because I could just install it and have an improved web experience.
I’m an absolute whore of a human for Mitsubishi ‘Uni’ Pens. I don’t even like writing, but their Jetstream line are cheap and should be the ubiquitous goto pen. Everytime I have to pick up a bic, I die a little inside.

I can only assume it’s wayland causing the crash. When I run gnome45 in x11, it suspends and resumes normally, but when I run in wayland upon resume everything is gone, regardless of what was running. I’ve combed through dmesg to find out what’s happening but it hasn’t been too fruitful so far.
