If you are a pirate VPN is an essential tool. I am trying to ascertain the popularity of various VPNs in piracy community. In this excerise, I will list several Popular VPNs in the comment if you use one of them just upvote that comment and reply the reason. If you don’t find your VPN listed add a comment with just their name....
I use Mullvad because I don’t need port forwarding. If you are using a VPN specifically for piracy I would use a seedbox, cheap ones aren’t that much more expensive.
Just some advice, Privacy Badger, NoScript, ClearURLs, and LocalCDN are all redundant nowadays. uBlock does ClearURLs and NoScripts job, Total Cookie Protection does Privacy Badgers job and LocalCDNs job.
Also you might want to consider using RFP instead of CanvasBlocker, the more people using it the better it is for everyone.
CanvasBlocker should be doing the same exact thing. If some images aren’t glitchy messes then CanvasBlocker isn’t working. And you can always let websites use your canvas data if you need to.
Struggling to find a lot of music with Lidarr (New/Recent/Modern). Have a few general public/private trackers set up but still not getting many hits. From what I gather Usenet isn’t much better. And I’m not really confident in transcoding, bit rates, etc… to attempt an interview....
How are buses supposed to get anywhere when they are blocked by cars?? There’s a reason most places (that aren’t car dependent) have bus lanes. There’s places it doesn’t go because there’s not enough public transport. And there’s not enough public transport because there’s no room for it, because places are filled with cars.
Soulseek is cool but I’ve found a lot of the flacs on it to just be transcoded. (You can check with spectral analysis, frequencies dont extend all the way to 22 kHz)
Got reminded of this while reading about ProtonMail. The reason I haven't gotten into proper #piracy is that I don't have a VPN for torrenting, and the reason I don't have a VPN is that I don't #torrent. So it would be nice if I got a good VPN while #degoogling myself.
Will ProtonVPN rat me out to Comcast? I know some VPNs don't hide what you're downloading from your ISP, for reasons I don't fully understand.
From what I’ve heard ProtonVPN isn’t really recommended. Use Mullvad or use AirVPN if you need port forwarding. (Mullvad removed port forwarding a few months ago).
If you are just using a VPN for pirating then I would just spend that VPN money on a seedbox.
I’ve only subscribed to YouTube Premium for the past two months, and I like the ad-free experience and Music streaming bundled in one price, PHP159 or $3/month. Will this probably my last? I have seen many people in this community either talking about switching to Brave, or people who are actively using Brave. I would like to remind people that Brave browser (and by extension their search engine) is not privacy-centric whatsoever....
This comment is just confusing. Sure, go ahead and use whatever you want, but at least be informed about what you’re using. As for the anti-fingerprinting tech, Firefox has had that for a very long time.
I made this post because people in this community were suggesting Brave as a privacy focused browser. As far as I’m aware, no other post like this exists in this community specifically.
Using Chromium at all is supporting Google’s dominance over the market. If you want to support a company that has taken advantage of its users, and committed actual crimes while doing so, be my guest. This post is a recommendation, not a rule.
privacy seems interesting, i guess I'll see what's it about didn't really think of it much when i moved from Canada to the eu
