JackFrostNCola,

For sure,Peanut butter is just a cheap way to do satay noodles/chicken/etc. (rather than proper satay sauce)

JackFrostNCola,

Something like 2-part Araldite would be what i would use. Comes in a double-tube kinda syringe and you squeeze out equal parts, mix until tacky and apply, wait 24hrs to set.

JackFrostNCola,

I just wish the app wouldnt keep fucking changing to Day view instead of Month view

JackFrostNCola,

If you wanted a straight answer, common meals cooked in my home are:
meat (steak, lamb, chicken, fish) & garden salad
meat & roast veggies
asian stiry frys (meat+veg+rice/noodles)
thai & indian curries + rice
lasagna
spaghetti bolognese
burgers (hamburger/steak sandwich) & salad
tacos
(I am Australian for context)

To be fair, there might have been a dog there… before

My CO2 / Smoke Detector Scared a Year off my life today, and I have questions. Long.

I have a back bedroom with sealed windows, and it gets dry sometimes. It’s for a person with horrible allergies. This room is so clean you could eat off the floor so to speak. I run a humidifier set to 60% with distilled water for the person in there. When I checked on it last night to see if it needed to be filled, the...

JackFrostNCola,

Certain types of smoke detectors dont detect ‘smoke’ or ‘steam’ exactly, but they monitor a small section of air in the unit and if there is enough particulate matter in the air the sensor is triggered and it goes off.
Because of this they are sensitive to aresols too, such as spray on deoderant.

JackFrostNCola,

Oracle of seasons was a masterpiece, oracle of ages and minish cap also were great, some novel ideas and beautiful execution, lots of hours of gameplay if you play casually and explore along the way

JackFrostNCola,

The real difference here is using the PS anologue sticks to play instead of the N64 stick

JackFrostNCola, (edited )

Yeah im like wtf is this shit trying to make it sound like your product comes from water and olive oil, not from oil processing.

In other news im naming my new fuel ‘enviro-fluid’ derived from the english word ‘environment’, spoiler: its petroleum.

JackFrostNCola,

Super oddly specific & relevant…

JackFrostNCola,

It used to be moreso, but before i left reddit it turned into people spamming promoting their onlyfans accounts, some subs felt like scrolling through a gallery of ads.

JackFrostNCola,

While also true in Australia, we have preferential voting as well and whilst smaller parties dont have the numbers or votes to become the ruling parties you can vote 1 for a smaller party and 2 for a major party so the smaller party gets a funding boost for future campaigns.
And also if enough people vote for a smaller party them a larger party may have to team up with a smaller party to get the majority numbers to hold government.
Then the smaller party may have a bit of clout to get some of their values and opinions into parlimertary debate or passing bills meaning we get a wider variety of input than the major party line and its members falling into line to vote with their peers blindly.

JackFrostNCola,

I know your question about the burns is already answered by others but its important to consider that the generally accepted optimal temp for extracting the flavour from coffee beans is approx. 90-95°C, and hotter gives the coffee a more ‘burnt’ or less favourable flavour, so your coffee shouldnt be that hot. Further to this if you drink your coffee with milk, the milk is frothed at about 65°C which would bring the overall temp down a little more.
This is all in an ideal world where Maccas actually gives a fuck if their coffee is ‘good’

Aphantasia... apparently 3% of the world has it. Any aphantasists in here, who've had success improving their condition?

10 years ago, I’d have put my ability to visualise at 0 out of 10. Practice and occasional halucinogen use has got me to 2 out of 10. It causes no end of problems in day to day life, so I’m interested to hear if anyone has tips or just experiences to share so it doesn’t feel such a lonely frustrating issue....

JackFrostNCola,

Perhaps word assosciations or just bandwagoning with the trend of ‘omg moist gross’. Honestly the only times i really think of things being ‘moist’ is for cakes/baked goods.

JackFrostNCola,

IANAL and my stepbro used to work in DP law until it broke me

JackFrostNCola,

To add to this, reverse cycle (aka heat pump) air conditioners will dehumidify the air during cooling operation as humidity in the air tends to condense on the (cold) indoor unit coil and leaves via the drain pipe.
These air conditioner units usually have the modes; cool, heat, fan only & dehumidify, which is why they arent just called ‘air coolers’ or ‘heaters’.

JackFrostNCola,

At that speed their ‘lightning’ cable doesnt sound all to lightening-ey then, more of a mild static.

JackFrostNCola,

I feel like like the potential for being exposed as a chastity cage user might actually be a plus for some users

JackFrostNCola,

I think they also had a ‘dead pixel’ from memory too?

The Spotify Car Thing cost $100, but I can't use it anymore. (lemmy.ml)

EDIT: The only reason why I still had it at this point was because I could use it with other apps. However, now that my Spotify Subscription is cancelled, it doesn’t work with anything. It’s mildly infuriating because today, I can’t still use it with other apps like I was able to yesterday....

JackFrostNCola,

I also may or may not use a ‘freemium’ spotify apk. Its been about 3yrs and not issues, so far…

JackFrostNCola,

In australia reverse cycle ac is very common, so we keep ours set to ~24°C year round.

JackFrostNCola,

GIVE ME A BUCKET, AND I’LL SHOW YOU A BUCKET

JackFrostNCola,

Am i weird for always using dark mode?

JackFrostNCola,

Well by definition right?
Progressive outlook means your open to new ideas, exploring new territory, open to concept that challenge what you think and know, and gives you the ability to push boundaries, make new discoveries and try new things.

Conservative outlook on the other hand means you are content and safe with the familiar, doing things the way they have always been done because its tried and true, however this means if they feel unconfortable or threatened by ideas which are going to change the way the live and how things work which makes them dig their heels in and get defensive.

JackFrostNCola,

As mentioned by @w2qw above:

This is just federal spending. Most educational spending is at the state level.

JackFrostNCola,

Can i get the option where they track down the person i want and like them getting served legal papers but imstead they aim this at their face and put me through it?

JackFrostNCola,

Exactly what i thought, they literally just redrew the @ symbol in a clockwise (& less satisfying) direction.

JackFrostNCola,

So i may have understood wrong here but i think the analogy is like saying something like:
instead of reddit being a central hub with “rooms” (subreddits) branching off, we instead have multiple reddit hubs which have their own sets of rooms. But a lot of those rooms have little back doors or hallways to the same room at the other reddits, so the users in a particular room can see eveything in all the other alternate version of the same room as if it was the same one.
Like being in the same subreddit without realising its a compilation of contant from all the other rooms across the lemmyverse.

But also that if the people in a particular room start getting rowdy or dangerous then the other rooms can lock their backdoor connecting the rooms so the unruly users cant come in from that other room until they decide to unlock the door again.

Have i got this all right?
