You are wrong. Somebody has to be the worst dancer, and it’s me. Went to a wedding earlier this year and it was lovely and enjoyable until it was dancing time. Tried to avoid participating, but family was persistent so I finally stood up, reluctantly. It was awful and I was fully self-conscious to an extreme degree, even after some drinks and edibles. I nearly cringed my eyeballs the wrong direction. Dancing is me at my most socially awkward, 0/10 would not recommended…
I’m sorry, but that’s just not true. Like most things: sports, computers, athletics, intellectual pursuits, dancing; they may have wide appeal, but they are not for all people. Just because you finally enjoyed it, and even excelled at it doesn’t mean everyone will.
On version 0.19 you can block instances so that you don’t see any posts from that instance, instead of having to block communities one by one, you still see comments from users of that instance in other posts so it isn’t completely blocking the instance.
You can explain it away, but it’s not intuitive and is just bad design. Also, heaven forbid they just explain what things mean using words! To be fair, they dragged their feet on addressing it, sure, but then took massive steps to address it when they did. Top-to-bottom company-wide analysis and restructuring, limiting Linus’ role and voice, a complete moratorium on releasing videos while they made plans to slow the release output, and refocusing on quality-control with additional community input. Totally get if you still don’t like their videos, but I think they did everything possible to address everyone’s concerns.
I actually like the WAN Show podcast more than their videos. I think you get a sense for their genuineness and passion as they discuss current tech news…

I was riding my bike home from my supermarket job as a teenager without a light… While holding my Sobe drink in my hand… I didn’t see a retaining wall log that had fallen down onto the sidewalk so I hit it, tire-first. I flew over the handlebars and my hand landed on the bottle as it broke. Severed a nerve in the hand and damn-near hit an artery. Surgery to repair that, and I still have some numbness in it. Live and learn, but I’ll always think of that when someone mentions Sobe!

Without judging, some people confuse bitter for strong. You should try brewing their coffee different ways that will make it intense, but not bitter to see if they like it better. I’m not an expert, but maybe Chemex? Aeropress? Pour-over?
That’s all you can do if they end up preferring butter bitter coffee!

I’m with you, OP: for some reason, it’s the little things I notice.
I’m in grocery stores a lot. It used to be, there was a nice little seating area there to sit, drink my coffee and work. But now, because homeless people dared to duck inside a public-facing area to briefly escape the elements, they removed many of the tables and chairs and they’re now a big, empty space. Heaven forbid they add more seating, actually staff enough people to enforce a time-limit, etc; no, instead we all are worse off for it. But corporate profits have never been higher, so worth it, right!?
