Kind of a trend, the amount of youtubers who i had loved but their content became generic after gaining popularity is quite a bit, most drastic one being mrwhosetheboss, his uniqueness went down faster than MH27 MH17
Wow I never knew he was part of Yogcast. I found out from him from Northernlion who has basically did the same thing. He stopped YouTube and just is just streaming and I really can’t watch it live which seems like the appeal. NL has always streamed but never really interacted with chat as much as he does now, which makes watching VODs awkward imo.
I find myself making this one every week since it’s so tasty and easy to make. The sauce is really versatile, so I often put it on other things too, like stir fries, rice, etc.
I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds
I dont see how basic bdsm is a trend. Seems like every generation has a bdsm awakening at some point, everyone gets used to it, forgets about it or continues to play. Then after another 10-15 years it comes back.
Hunky Dory is such an incredible album. There isn’t a bad song on it. I’ve been flip flopping on that and Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust as my favorite Bowie albums for years
I used to make CS:S maps in middle school and when I had to make a rail for stairs I felt like a genius whipping out Pathagora. I really havent had to use it after that butttttt I did use it in my real life at one point.
I only use brave at work because it somehow bypasses the firewall there and I can install and use it. I run it to watch videos about cooking or traveling and reading news when I have nothing to do at my job....
I’m against it. Their crypto angle is/was a joke, and now the AI data harvesting pushes it further down.
I also found most Brave users to be some of the must infuriating people I met in real life. Not that brave it self did it, but most people I used to work with that used it was “privacy focused” libertarians with some bad takes.
I know it’s been easy to dunk on the COD series for almost a decade now, but what made this one different? I thought they had MTX for the last few games and the gameplay always seems to be the same as the annual sports games, but did it finally hit the wall where the majority of their fan base sees all the issues?
Seems like COD should just be a service at this point and you pay for the new yearly xpac. I hate suggesting that but that’s what the series seemed to be since OG MW2. Guess it’s just milk the money until enough people say enough
Recently I’ve been catching up on tv and some of the more mature/adult shows, which I’ve been…Enjoying? Seems like the wrong word, but they’ve all generally been cynical or dark....
Joe Pera and MITM definitely stand out to me on this list. Nathan as well but can be a little dry. Baskets is incredible but it does have it’s downer moments.
Had to fix my MIL’s laptop this week. All I did was clone the hdd to an SSD, disabled all the bloat on startup and took a spare ac adapter from work. I think I said “I fixed the file system, ran a virus scan and optimized the configuration.” Somehow using TV tech lingo works better than saying what you actually did.
I just had two people take my order in a drive thru. They alternated every question. First person welcomed me and asked what I wanted. The next person asked what size and drink I wanted. The first person came back on and asked if I wanted any cheese sauce then the second person came back on and told me the price. When I got up...
The moment of death when everything is over. All the horrible shit is done but you just have to sit with the fact this person’s conciseness is gone. That’s what fucked me up back in the day.
Yeah seems like a request for a work provided phone would fix it. A guy I used to work with bought a burner flip phone when something like this was required and got the company to provide a work phone. After a month or two he would just openly use his normal phone and no one batted an eye.
After Jim and Pam’s wedding it could of ended, the quality was already going on. The only redeeming thing to me after Steve Carrell left was Robert California and even then I could of done without that.
The Get Down was such a good show with a fun aesthetic. It was about the birth of hip hop but talked a lot about the politics and culture at the time. It lasted 2 seasons on Netflix and somewhat on a cliffhanger for a few characters, and I wish they got another season or two to fully wrap it up.
I’m lucky enough to be able to afford my own car/transportation but I worked at a FedEx Warehouse years ago where most people took the bus. Right around the time I was leaving, they were moving the branch 5 minutes down the road, but across a bridge to another jurisdiction. Busses from the city don’t run there because it always gets shot down that it will “cause crime”. The country busses aren’t that good, but at least it takes people to their jobs. I remember most people were freaking out and planning car pools from the bus stop to the new location. I haven’t talked to a lot of people since then, but the few I have seemed to find new jobs.

Was visiting a wisconsin town this weekend and observed this nightmare-ish bike lane configuration… the road’s speed limit is 25mph, but has a massive 500’ acceleration lane. Gonna guess how many people actually obey the speed limit here?...
I haven’t owned a functioning laptop in like, ten years because my phone does most of what I like, but I (probably) have tendinitis and carpal tunnel and need something more ergonomic for my terminally online needs. Arguing with strangers on the internet is not as effective on a cell phone lol....
Damn never thought I would see a place I used to work in the wild. Most of their computers will be decent quality stuff that a company was getting rid of.
But holy shit does it suck to work for them. Super low wages compared to other similar positions in the area and hostile work environments perpetuated by Fox News watching managers and owners.
I feel like it might be more of the area. St. Charles is the company HQ but a lot of the management and employers comes from the Wright City facility. I was based in STC but would have to go to the WC branch a few times a month and being a born and raised STL city boy, Wright City gave me Deliverance vibes.
Personally I hate St Charles in general, but the Wright City people are in their own little Tucker Carlson world and somehow made STC seem sane. Glad I’m at a job now where I can see the arch and actually have some diversity in my office.
