Sure, practice whatever spiritually you’d like (as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else). I’m honestly glad it makes people happier overall. Please keep on doing it if you like it and it makes you happy (and doesn’t hurt or ridicule anyone else or their beliefs).

Just don’t bring science into it. So many of us have put so much time and effort into discovering how things work and why they happen. All more or less concrete evidence that can be debated, but is able to be observed and reproduced.

They’re two totally different things. I just wish people would understand that.

For the record, I was raised religious. But since devoting so much of my life to science, I have very different views.

Dioxygen difluorine (FOOF) is so reactive (unstable) it decays into O2 and F2 at about 4 % /day at -160 Celsius. It even reacts violently with ice.

Edit: Because everyone liked FOOF, get ready for tetraoxygen difluoride (FOOOOF) which is even more reactive. Apparently reacts explosively with elemental sulfur at -180 Celsius to form SF6.

That’s not really true.

Sure it’s true for rifampicin and rifabutin (and maybe one more similar one). But those are used to treat TB.

All the standard ones you’d take are fine for birth control.

Edit: Thanks to some people who are more knowledgeable than me on the topic, there are some others, or secondary effects you should consider.

Moral of the story: if in doubt ALWAYS use more contraception. Best to be safe out there.

It may be? I found a few references from like 2019, but as someone else posted above, there’s a lot more to consider than just the antibiotic interfering with the birth control. Digestive tract things. Definitely take a look at the post I’m referring to.

But as I SHOULD have said in my original post, ALWAYS use more methods of contraception if you’re unsure. Best to be safe.
