arymandias,

Aircraft carriers are sitting ducks for countries with real armies. They are an outdated technology in the age of satellites, drones, and guided missiles.

Then he is finally free to personally go to Gaza and [redacted]

arymandias,

Me burning to death fixing pylint warnings before I can commit my code.

arymandias,

It would be a nice precedent, every time an ai fucks up the legal responsibility escalates directly to the CEO.

arymandias,

Since I moved to Berlin this has become a common occurrence.

arymandias,

My experiences were mostly at Ostkreuz and Warschauer Sraße, but I can imagine U8 being a ‘special’ train as well.

arymandias,

That is too many steps:

Child = Terrorist

arymandias,

What… but I thought Pro-Palestine were the Far-Right antisemitic dangers to democracy?

It’s gonna be really interesting watching the pro israel liberals square this circle.

arymandias,

Be careful with equating Israel and the Jews, some would argue it’s actually antisemitic to do so because it implies that jewish people have a higher allegiance to Israel. Essentially saying that Jewish citizens of a country are Israeli/Jewish first and citizen second, which is basically nazi propaganda.

These far right idiots are protesting for Israel not the jews.

arymandias,

Aber lass uns bitte weiter reden über was wirklich wichtig is: Ausländer, die Grünen und Gendern.

arymandias,

Not having healthcare is kind of a big deal. It’s easy for us Europeans to forget the implications, but for a significant portion of the US populous, if they get sick they’ll either go bankrupt or they’ll simply just die. Which is insane.

arymandias,

That sounds much better.

arymandias, (edited )

Well, you’re not supposed to shove your cock in either.

arymandias, (edited )

Aber ik habs aufm Facebook gelesen das es eine Lüge ist!

arymandias,

I live in Berlin and really want to voice my support for Palestine and an end to the violence but I literally feel afraid to do it.

arymandias,

“I support the government and I have nothing to fear”

arymandias,

I’m not commenting on your stance on this specific conflict. This article (yes I read the entire article for once) mentions that even Jewish people protesting the bombing of Gaza get arrested in Berlin. The German government does not allow for a serieus discussion on this conflict except for the blind support for Israel. So yes of course you can support Israel in Berlin (and I’m happy that at least that part of free speech and expression is safeguarded) but you should also be allowed to support the freedom of Palestine.

And to add to this, it’s kind of disgusting that the far right gets away with so much here in Germany*, but if the people of Neu Kölln want to express their opinion suddenly everyone is talking about ‘never again’ and ‘Germany has a special responsibility to stand against Antisemitism’.

  • the AFD, the entire cluster fuck that was the last election in Bavaria, the multiple reports of thriving far right app groups in the police that openly support racist violence, etc etc
arymandias,

This meme makes me happy…

arymandias, (edited )

This meme was made by me to make fun of a motivational quote by taking it literal to the point of absurdity.

arymandias,

Mostly yes, but with some imagination he could also have the expression of someone being caught mid act, and kind of having a scared/awkward ‘ow fuck, what do I do now’ look.

arymandias,

I’m kind of interested who you would call fascist in the Dune universe?

arymandias,

In my head Paul (and the Fremen) are more similar to the Mongol Empire, violent and conquering but not fascist. But I stopped reading after part 2 and it has been a while

arymandias,

I think Biden is not looking forward to the upcoming headlines that the Gaza invasion has surpassed the entire Ukraine invasion in civilian death toll (in just one month). Kinda makes it hard to keep the spiel going that Israel are the good guys.

arymandias,

In quest to defeat Euro red-tape, local construction company had to stop using Asbestos

arymandias,

How can a meme make no sense and so much sense at the same time

arymandias,

Plot twist: it’s the same house

arymandias,

If misspelling words is a meme now, I have some hilarious memes to share from when I was 9 (They are all in Dutch tho)

arymandias,

Of course Israel knows this is not possible, but it’s a nice statement to point at every time they get caught killing civilians. “Look we told them to leave, nothing we can do after that.”

arymandias,

I would rather they don’t commit war crimes :)

arymandias,

To everyone getting offended, clearly nobody is asking for pictures of dead baby’s.

Of course war and propaganda go hand in hand, it would just be nice if western media (or the president of the United States for that matter) don’t just blindly copy Israeli propaganda without checking sources.

arymandias,

But one side lives in suburbs and the other in an open-air prison, without medical supplies, under permanent drone surveillance, oh and every 5 years all the buildings get flattened.

arymandias,

If remote control doesn’t work anymore it’s time to roll out the fully automated AI killer drones that hunt down anything that moves. Nothing can go wrong, surely nothing can go wrong…

China forces minorities from Xinjiang to work in industries around the country. As it turns out, this includes handling much of the seafood sent to America and Europe. (web.archive.org)

The labor program is part of a wider agenda to subjugate a historically restive people. China is dominated by the Han ethnic group, but more than half the population of Xinjiang, a landlocked region in northwestern China, is made up of minorities—most of them Uyghur, but some Kyrgyz, Tajik, Kazakh, Hui, or Mongol. Uyghur...

arymandias,

What is happening to the Uyghur population in China is probably very bad and it should be condemned, but why do these articles always use Adrian Zenz as the main source, a religious fundamentalist nut job. First he was an “expert” on Tibet, and when that went out of the news suddenly he is an “expert” on Uyghurs. He has been caught multiple times for completely making up stuff or overly exaggerating stories, and still the New York Times takes him serious.

Very big weapons-of-mass-destruction vibe.

arymandias, (edited )

I think AI experts would probably prefer to be ruled by a large language model than by a general AI that adheres to Asimov’s laws.

youtu.be/7PKx3kS7f4A

arymandias,

With large language models it will basically be a technocratie of prompt hackers, which are at least humans and thus have a stake in Humanity.

arymandias,

This man is a complete joke, I knew people that worked at the ministry of finance when he was minister, all he cared about was his image and at almost every opportunity he took the worst decision on the table.

arymandias,

Because of muh freedom in the south, there were no regulations on railways. This resulted in rails that were sometimes so thin a strong man could lay a knot in them with their bare hands. Luckily the north won the war so railways in the US function perfectly now :)
