Military science-fiction. It's a thing. In this one, we kick the Russian military's ass--and we do it in space.

finished reading alan moore's early serials for the UK music weekly sounds, 1980-1983, written & drawn as curt vile. "roscoe moscow: who killed rock & roll" was a gas, if maybe slightly too edgy for moi, but adored the "the stars my degradation," which is like a perfect halfway between & . can really see his inner crumb.

brings forward a usually neglected and abandoned as non existent (even in the future) issue about in .
In general the creators have shown repeatedly that they don't stick to clichés and usual tropes to deliver a brilliant series.
Even from the opening scene of s1e1 they show their intentions by re-enacting the 1st manned moon landing in a provocative way.

“Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson has me thinking about the evolution of consciousness, and the ways biology facilitates it. It makes me even more certain that consciousness is not emergent, but fundamental to the universe.

I realize that the main thesis I have in my books is that "the flesh is not a prison, it is training wheels”. Biology can obviously be overridden by a sufficiently developed mind (the Marshmallow test is a concrete example).
