Laezel is fucking awesome. Give me brutal honesty over whatever shadowheart is doing. I've been lied to enough in my life. MC is a more chaotic self insert and the gith story is my priority.
Shadowheart doesn’t lie to you, she very directly witholds information because she doesn’t trust you, and as she gains trust and actually remembers stuff she opens up to you.
(Thankfully, you can use the launch command --skip-launcher to boot straight into the DX11 version of the game, or use --skip-launcher --vulkan to boot straight into Vulkan.)
And
In terms of overall recommendations then, I'd suggest DirectX 11 is a better choice than Vulkan for most users with Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, especially those with relatively modern CPUs that meet BG3's recommended specifications. While Vulkan did run better in static scenes when CPU-limited, its poorer performance than DX11 in NPC-rich areas is problematic, making DirectX 11 a better choice overall.
Looks like these guys say DirectX 11 is usually the better pick. I've been running Vulkan and the only negative I've seen is there is a large block that will flicker slightly on the right side of the screen in cinematics. I've going to try DirectX 11 and see if I get the same FPS and quality today. Vulkan with DLSS on quality I get around 100+ FPS. I have a Nvidia 3080TI and intel i7 12700KF.
Edit: I'm running the game on a 4k TV with 120hz. Looks great.
This is so funny because it’s the opposite recommendation I’ve seen basically everywhere else. All other notes I’ve seen have recommended Vulcan for newer hardware. I’ve been running vulkan as well and have had no issues at all. 6800xt here.
40 hours later of couch co-op with my inexperienced partner who chose Wizard for some reason, and their character is finally useful in battle near the end of act 2.
I try not to control them, I just say what I’m doing and planning so they don’t launch my team off a cliff. Occasionally I’ll say “Yes, counterspell cloudkill please.” but I’m mostly hands off. When asked for advice I give it, I’m not a monster, I just think if we’re playing together we should both get to play.
I haven’t played any DnD since 3rd, and my partner loves these role playing shows like Critical Role or whatever. My biggest takeaway I’ve had from our sessions is that those shows most not have any mechanics whatsoever.
In Act 3, I’ve found a book in some tomb that pretty clearly spells out who Withers is, and I’m irritated that apparently my character can’t connect the dots.
What would actually count as torture in this case? What about Volo helping remove the parasite? What about being flogged (on request)? Or branded? Listening to Volo sing?
Depending on your actions in the fight with the 3 absolute generals to close out act 1 and how much of a stud you are, she just throws that pussy at you like a hot potato. I was like, "Damn baby, can we like have dinner first? I just slaughtered like 50 dudes. I’m hungry. "
He doesn’t try anything remotely sexual unless you initiate during his Weave scene, and even then he waits several weeks and does a date first. I don’t understand where all of this “Gale is trying to get in my pants” rhetoric comes from online.
Lae'zel romance spoilersI like how during her sex scene when she demands you to submit, my Berserker has a special dialogue (no checks required) that went something like "MAKE ME! SHOW ME YOUR RAGE!" after which she instantly submits. She acts all tough, but push back and she caves instantly. I did love her romance on a Berserker character, when she asked me to fight her my character was so excited, this guy lives for battle!
