When you make something that’s too big for your printer, how do you hide the seams from bonding when aesthetics are a priority?
So, I have an extra stepper motor, lead screw/bearings/coupler, and an extra Z axis slot on my motherboard. I also have my camera (C920) mounted statically in the corner of my lack enclosure....
Lately I’ve been using inland brand natural Pla. It prints so nice and I find that it adheres to the print bed really well. My go to filament brand used to be Amolen but some of these cheaper filaments have gotten so good in recent years.
I’ve already switch from Cura to PrusaSlicer to SuperSlicer and get back to PrusaSlicer (organic support is a must). With all the bambu hype, I can’t find a comparison beetween PrusaSlicer and OrcaSlicer (pros and cons). Feel free to comment !
This is my first time working with wood filament and it occurred to me that if it’s 30% wood fiber then I might be able to get a strong bond with regular old Elmer’s glue. Has anyone tried this?
This print started fine the first handful of layers before I walked away. I came back later and everyone of these blocks was curling up with the corners lifting off the bed. I just put on the PEI plate, this is the first print on it. I did level the print bed manually with a sheet of paper, the first layers of each block looked...
Edit: Fixed by replacing the main board. I probably could have just added a BLTouch which was considered, but the USB port was unusable and I need that. I’m keeping the old board to mess around with it for later though. Possible good learning experience to be had....
I know that heating wet filament in the oven is the best way to dry it, and that desiccant is typically used to keep filament dry, but will it also eventually dry a spool that has been sitting out in a humid environment? If so, how long would this typically take?...
Do you guys know a stepper motor that is compatible with Neptune 3 pro ?...
A friend of mine had a Creality CR10 V2 which he purchased some time ago. Evidently it had a bad board in it and he received a replacement but never got around to installing it....
I’ve wanted to get into 3d printing for a while now and have been checking out the prusa mk4 and the bambu lab x1....
I took advantage of a recent offer to stock up on filament for my Ender 3 Neo. I purchased six 1Kg spools of Sunlu PLA+ Matte in grey and white colors. I loaded one of the white spools into the printer and did a small test print – no problems, looks good, everything seemed fine....
I’m changing the PTFE in my heatbreak, I didn’t realize these seem to be consumables. It started causing blockage....
Good day everyone. Been into the hobby since around 2014. I own 3 FDM printers currently....
Hey 3D printing peoples, I am struggling to get anything to print with this new clear resin I just ordered. I am using a Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K and Phrozen Clear resin, with Lychee slicer. I downloaded the community “high transparency” resin profile and have tweaked it loads of times, but I can never seem to get past the...
Is there a viable method or company to recycle failed prints or prototypes? I’ve been keeping all of my PETG stuff in a box, still a way to go before it’s full but was curious if anyone had any experience here whether it be something diy or shipping them to a company.
Hello, I am looking to buy my first filament 3D printer. Any printer or printer brand you recommend and why? What 3D modeling software is usually used to design? Any tips are welcome! (my budget would be 200-300€) I would like to eventually get into resin printing as well.
I started resin printing and I am wondering if you guys use a full on resperator (if so is their a specific classification you’d recommend?) Or do you just use a cloth / surgical mask?...

Im very new to 3d printing and this is my first time using anything other than pla. So far all of my prints are lifting off the bed at the corners. They start off looking beautiful. No stringing, great adhesion, etc. But after a few layers, they start to come off. Especially on larger prints....
The printer (sv06) just arrived yesterday and it has already saved the day for my kid....
I’m currently tinkering around with the ‘Anycubic Photon S’ to get a first impression. I’m already hooked up and like to buy an SLA-printer for the job. I’m in strong favour for an (Prusa) SL1S because of its speed, the prusaslicer and support. So, although money is fortunetely not a problem, I can spent it only once....
Sovol sv06 arrived yesterday and after about 30-45 minutes of assembly I was printing this benchy....
