The Game Awards' Security Is Getting Beefed Up This Year (www.gamespot.com)

After incidents involving unauthorized people appearing on stage to disrupt proceedings at Geoff Keighley-produced shows, The Game Awards will see its security tightened up for this year’s event. Keighley, the host and producer of The Game Awards, was asked in a Twitch Q&A livestream if there would be any increased security...

tacosanonymous,

I don’t know anyone in real life, myself included, that has had success claiming this deal. As of this moment, it says free until I go to my shopping cart where it is $29.99

tacosanonymous,

Doctors hate this one simple trick.

tacosanonymous,

How dare you not pick a side. Your neutrality sickens me.

tacosanonymous,

Depends on which one. One is dead, some are distant, some close, two really close.

tacosanonymous,

Does he only have a halo when he checks his phone?

tacosanonymous,

Meh. If I saw a bunch of people pointing shit at me and the smell of ozone that would work, probably indefinitely.

tacosanonymous,

Wait. What’s the doctor one?

tacosanonymous,

But what’s the context? I’m completely unaware that doctors were murdering or sacrificing children to steal their organs.

tacosanonymous,

I mean, John McCain was pro-Zionist.

tacosanonymous,

I’ve heard of this but I can’t remember what it’s called. Gooch sunning or something?

tacosanonymous,

I love it when a jump scare video gets me.

tacosanonymous,

Yeah, why don’t the other 30 million people just change the way they do it?

tacosanonymous,

Aveum’s sales would have been better if the game was more interesting. It’s around the level of Hogwarts Legacy without the built in fanbase. Utterly forgettable.

tacosanonymous,

Same. I wasn’t even an hour in. I was fucking around on some rocks and died from a ten foot drop. Early gameplay before getting some skills was kinda meh too. I didn’t come back for almost a year.

tacosanonymous,

This reminded me of a scene from Talledega Nights.

Lucius Washington : You’re not gonna live forever.

Ricky Bobby : No one lives forever, no one. But with advances in modern science and my high level income, it’s not crazy to think I can live to be 245, maybe 300. Heck, I just read in the newspaper that they put a pig heart in some guy from Russia. Do you know what that means?

Lucius Washington : No, I don’t know what that means. I guess longer life.

Ricky Bobby : No, he didn’t live. It’s just exciting that we’re trying things like that.

tacosanonymous,

I feel like the only “they” that’s ever said this was people making and selling consoles. It’s propaganda and articles like this do more to propagate it than combat it. Stop it.

tacosanonymous,

Cool but isn’t it pretty customizable for free with a little bit of work?

tacosanonymous,

I think I would too if the selection was more robust. I have all those points I’m not using.

tacosanonymous,

But why am I wearing an Edgar suit? None of your business. Quit asking questions.

Steam Deck Owners: What’s been your favorite game that you first discovered on Steam Deck and now you can’t seem to put down?

Looking for those games that you may have heard about but never tried until you got a Deck. Or old games on systems you never had that you’re trying for the first time. Or new AAA games that just released in the last year or two that you picked up for the first time specifically to play on Steam Deck and have kept you glued to...

tacosanonymous,

Same. Emu station has to be my most played app.

Can't block Hexbear communities - with workaround (kbin.social)

So to my immense joy, Hexbear has started appearing on the front page again. Instance blocking is not available, and even the regular block feature sometimes fails (on certain communities?) for no clear reason. I've already tried blocking their "DuNk tAnK" and politics sub, it errors in a way that doesn't seem to happen...

/kbin logotype
tacosanonymous,

I’ve learned that if you interact with them, they’ll block you.

tacosanonymous,

Damn…

tacosanonymous,

I think one of the key points of parent-offspring relationships is modeling. I didn’t have great parents and after some early struggles, I have learned what NOT to do. I try to shun violence, judgement, cruelty, substance abuse, etc for empathy, open communication, understanding, and friendship.

tacosanonymous,

I’m pretty sure the tankie that posted this doesn’t care.

tacosanonymous,

I have only been on the fediverse for a month but I’m pretty sure I could start my own software engineering company on the pc I just built (Linux OS, of course).

tacosanonymous,

Honestly? The only thing I feel after this post is hunger.

tacosanonymous,

And here I am just putting mine in the recycling. Wish I had known this was an option.

tacosanonymous,

Are you trying to sell us on it because it’s working.

tacosanonymous,

My biggest concern with “AI” is people trusting it. It seems to be wrong a lot and people are misinformed enough already. I don’t think this is solved by people owning the means of production.

tacosanonymous,

I gotta say, it was brilliant while it worked. I definitely use it bc it’s the default.

tacosanonymous,

I’m just glad he found a Lois.

tacosanonymous,

Can you get experience and money for it? If so, what would you spend it on?

tacosanonymous,

Totally. I bought a usbc to hdmi so I could play jackbox party games when I traveled to friends/family.

tacosanonymous,

If you see @hexbear in the domain, you can post there and get shit on for days. Hope this helps.

tacosanonymous,

I use the Heroic Games app to play my GoG and Epic Games library.

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion was free last week so I’m playing that and it’s cute/fun.

tacosanonymous,

Add some fog and it’s perfect.

tacosanonymous,

And then it cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars bc of the settlements. They’re wrong and they know they’re wrong. They just don’t care what it costs as long as they can continue lying and riling up their base while simultaneously keeping them ignorant.
