Could you elaborate on “harmful to the community” part? It was mentioned in another thread that they could brick the device, but I couldn’t find any details, for now at least
Was one of the first anime series I was watching on purpose, not because it was broadcast. Too bad I never finished, and afaik it doesn’t cover all the manga (which I didn’t finish either 😭)
That statement may be false, a simple explanation is that if you make a number out of π by removing all 9s it will keep the properties of π being infinite and non-repeating but never contain 9.
I haven’t looked at it yet but if u understand correctly you just have to search for a page where surrounding gibberish is also words. Probability plummets to zero fast, I’d guess
Kind of a trend, the amount of youtubers who i had loved but their content became generic after gaining popularity is quite a bit, most drastic one being mrwhosetheboss, his uniqueness went down faster than MH27 MH17
I found an article from 2019-08-29 with this same video claiming that the thing is unknown to science, tried to chew off a tourist’s foot, and that the incident is hushed by government.
As far as I am concerned everything screams that this is horsecrabshit and the video is fake. There is a small chance that the video is not fake but the article is.

In short, when Mariupol got occupied the hospital destroyed the documents and uniforms of injured soldiers to make them pass as civilians injured during the onslaught. The person in question outed the soldiers and the doctor who assisted in concealing them to the Russians during the walkthrough of the medical facility.
Dunno, reads quite like an intentional action. Maybe, this could be attributed to her not knowing that the documents were destroyed and being afraid to be prosecuted by the Russians when they find out, but that’s a bit of a stretch and not a very good reason still
I would argue that zero loyalty may be as bad as full loyalty. Also that things are maybe more complicated than subscribing fully to own or other’s values.
My perspective is that when everyone is only loyal to their own interests this becomes an extremely divided and trustless environment. Whether it’s social or workplace this is quite toxic to my views
apparently this is in response to a few threads on Reddit flaming Starfield—in general, it’s been rather interesting to see Bethesda take what i can only describe as a “try to debate Starfield to popularity” approach with the game’s skeptics in the past month or two. not entirely sure it’s a winning strategy,...
What game did Blizzard try this with? I’m just too ignorant about their games beyond Warcraft and Diablo, or was it that WoW add-on that killed WoW popularity back in the days?
So, they were right about knowing better, after all 😉
I actually think that this is a marketing fallacy some (?) big corporations use to create a self fulfilling prophecy of what people want. Wery rarely is it really a novel thing that just requires users to understand how good it is, very often it’s just gaslighting
They are generative in the sense of generating output, nothing more. With the “intelligence” part of the AI we got a fluke, should’ve called it something else until it gets to the real intelligence level (that is now dubbed AGI)
Oh, if you wouldn’t make this comment, I wouldn’t even notice that it was you who started this thread. Honestly, I think following around and downvoting is uncultured behaviour, but I find whining about something that doesn’t even affect your user experience in ways other than hurting ego… unpleasant, at the very least
Besides, weren’t you bragging about how glad you are to reach -50 and then -100? What’s the big deal then?
I’d guess, that hedgehogs come in a variety of different species and characters. We had a local hedgehog that woke up in the middle of winter and jumped people, mind you, it did that from an elevation so a couple of faces were hit. Besides that, in the regions with rabies they are carriers and should not be apprehended in the wild
An acquaintance of mine bought an ice cream in china thinking it to be grapes or something, but it was bean ice cream, they were pretty shocked. But anyway sweet bean paste in pastry is really good, and seems to be popular in all of the Asia
I’m glad you said “nearly”, because indeed I worked only in one startup and it wasn’t toxic, maybe because we we just marginally successful and there were like 10–15 people at most, half of them being the same ones during the whole lifetime of about three years our startup existed. Also we were as far away from the Silicon Valley as it can get, so that may also be a factor
Well, I’d say it is something to expect: someone without experience is trying to understand, most likely in good faith. If anything, thank you for sharing your experience, I’d say it wasn’t necessary to rant this much but at least you did give an educational reply, thank you for that
Could be individual, I know of cats that are super noisy at night. Otoh know cats that are active but pretty stealthy at that (like they are supposed to be being stealth predators, idk)
I’ve nothing to say more on topic. Off topic, people may be quite different and even if objectively there should be nothing bad in releasing pre-production, they may find it sensitive + there might be someone to actively offend for that. I only encountered the former, luckily
Well, I have 9 years old laptop and when I play something demanding like Valheim, or Risk of Rain 2 with my friends, I have to run Discord on my phone because otherwise I get either performance lags, or network lags, or both. May also be an issue with a shitty network bandwidth, but the phone and laptop are both connected to the same network.
Besides the already stated fact that global warming will only make winters worse, there are better ways like cleaning the snow (ok, that’s radical) or using abrasives like sand or gravel.
