It’s not really an acknowledgement, it’s more of a threat. With how the ruling went, it’s implicit understanding that says “We honestly don’t care, don’t try because if you do, we’ll make sure you get the chair.” Doctors can’t do jack and I bet you that if this ruling is used as precedent, they are going to use to start justifying why people who need healthcare the most should just die…
Huh, that sounds little familiar. Kind of like a life decider… no, that’s not quite it. I’m sure it will come to me later.
It’s mostly covered in ToddfromtheShadow’s, who happened to choose actual violence and dispute as many claims as possible. Some of the things that came up is that:
He thinks that all the gays who died in the Aids pandemic were the cool ones and that the boring ones didn’t do anything but focus on the boring rights, like the very cornerstones of the Civil Rights movements. The specific statement is also a directly plagiarized statement that came from someone who was mostly aiming it at artists because she liked to start shit.
He seems to really like nazis to the point of making shit up about how the Nazis are the reason why Amercians enlisted in WW2 (for those who don’t know, America did not have a large enough enlistment and most GIs were conscripted soldiers) and proposing fringe theories about why we designed our body building programs in first place.
He despises women and transpeople. When he isn’t plagiarizing (and therefore going off script) he goes on entire tangents about why women are the reason why Dalmar and Bundy get away with their crimes, and he stills massive amount of his work from transpeople. He also likes to deal in my personal favorite, Bi Erasure.
What? No! I’m just surprised that Spider-man 2 didn’t win anything at all. Even Alan Wake 2 won stuff and the game had only been out for less then a month before the nominees were announced.
So, interesting point here is that the jury only took 4 hours to complete. Just four. That means that they basically made up their minds and they just needed to confirm.
Yesterday, you probably saw this informal post by one of our head admins (Chris Remington). This post lamented some of the difficulties we’re running into with the site at this point, and what the future might hold for us. This is a more formal post about those difficulties and the way we currently see things....
Well, under any other circumstances, I would absolutely agree. Many users for other projects do, and have, volunteered their time, money, and blood (both in a metaphorical and a somewhat literal sense) so that a project can survive and live. However, that’s just not the case here.
More then enough end users have tried to make the switch to become engineers, developers, bug hunters, the full works. They have offered up their time, their blood, their money, and their minds trying to help Lemmy get off the problems it currently sits on. There isn’t a bereft amount of people, both experienced and inexperienced, unwilling to help, in fact, there’s probably too many spoons in the pot.
What I’m trying to say is that, it’s not problem with the helpers, it’s a problem with those who need the help, because it appears that those who need the help don’t really want it in the first place at all.
