Eclipse, visual studio, pycharm, idea… Those are full blown IDEs. They come with all the extras. All the text editors that can become IDEs have extensions or plugins that enable what these other actual IDE do natively.

Nowadays using vscode to debug a running program is common, but that was something only restricted to full blown IDEs some years ago, I’d say that vscode is lightweight IDE that can be expanded, but vim is a text editor first and foremost. You can’t really debug code in vim AFAIK, the most you get is syntax highlighting, linting, automatic whitespace removal and auto formatting? Not sure about the last one.

It’s not obvious that it’s the same house. House doesn’t necessarily equate building. People use house and home interchangeably, and in an apartment complex “house” can refer to a single apartment. Thus, when saying that it’s the same house they are saying that the same person owns those apartments. You might not agree with that definition of house, but that clearly what the OP is using.

Well, you suggested me household and since English is not my first language I thought that that was the correct word, but it isn’t.

House in Spanish for example can mean a building, or an apartment, and I thought it also did in English, but after searching for a bit, for building it can’t be used as apartment. In any case, in the way OP used the word it’s clear to me that they mean that all the windows are of the same owner/big apartment, instead of being apartments of separate owners. Have a nice day.

For the forcing games in monitors, loading the game in window mode, dragging it to the monitor of choice and making it fullscrern back usually works. And games remember the screen usually, some even have a selection panel (PoE).

I work in Spain, we don’t have sick days. If the doctor says we are not apt to work, we take a leave intil the doctor says so. Indefinitely. No maximum. As long as the doctor says.

This limit thing is so weird. Yeah, you can use them as vacation of you are healthy but that’s an abuse and then when you need them you will be vulnerable without days. It’s better to have infinite days, to be used only when you are actually sick, as stated by your doctor.

Right right, if your leave is longer than a year the permanent inability (incapacidad permanente, diferente a una discapacidad) cards pop up, since chances are you will never be able to be able to return to the same work you did, like an ernia for a driver and so on.

In any case, people taking a year long leave is kind of rare and it’s practically limitless compared to the 2-30 days the other mentioned countries get.

Yeah, if something in my life frustrates me, be it coding or otherwise, I search for solutions online and complain to friends “offline”, If I ever thought of making content, it would be on solutions I found of things that frustrated me,. and I’m not even that old.

I’m playing a heavily modded skyrim playthrough, 1 click button with wabbajack. There’s support for it but… Not much. I also play FFXIV, half support again. PoE works fineish and Bg3 works somewhat. League works? Not as straightforward when I last tried it. Modded D2 works somewhat but it needs to be configured. Last Epoch worked iirc but I haven’t checked, and their game needs heavy optimization so I’d hold my horses if what they do can be applied to Linux too. I haven’t tried dark souls but that shit lags on any Windows machine so it’s basically a 1 to 1 port lmao.

As you see, all of them are -ish experiences. It’s always googling issues, checking compatibility… I just want to game man.

I mean, it does in Spain. I know of a supermarket (Eroski) that asks for 0.50€ on the paying machine that you have to press no which goes to charities and if you don’t get the tax break they get it. That’s for the development company to decide. If its profitable they will keep releasing because there’s a market of people that want to play the game and only have a switch. Mortal Kombat is a multiplayer game that you play for the combat, not the graphics. You can play it for the graphics but fighting games fans don’t really, so if the game runs on the switch they open up to a huge extra market.
