I have a later shift today than normal. I woke up early and decided to go for a bike ride. Was nice but it gave me a migraine aura lol. I don’t have a headache atm so I think I’m still good! Today I’m paired with one of my favorite coworkers when I go in to work today. I have a delicious sub sandwich waiting for me in the fridge for dinner when I get home. And it’s Friday and payday! So all in all it’s pretty good so far.
How would it be suggesting videos for you if it didn’t know what you were warching? It probably still recorded your history then even if you requested that it didn’t.
They don’t want to improve it. The app did exactly what Reddit wants…to service its users with the most amount of ads possible. Third party apps don’t do that, which is why they wanted them killed off.
What sort of ads are you getting? I have premium and podcasts do not have ads aside from the sponsors from within the podcast itself (like how YouTubers do sponsored segments).
It was phone of the phlebotomists (person who draws blood) at the hospital I worked at.
It was her first day going off on her own. She accidentally went to the wrong floor/area that morning. She drew many patients’ blood that morning for the morning blood draws. The entire time she was there, she did not double check even a single patient’s name at any point. They were all wrong. All were mislabeled. All patient’s had to be re-drawn and she was fired for gross negligence.
Things happen and I’ve seen things get mislabeled many tines before. It’s not good obviously. But if you do it once and no one ended up getting hurt, you just get reprimanded and move on. You generally don’t get fired for a one off. But never before or after have I seen that level of mislabeling.
A piracy focused instance that is hosted in a country with minimal to no piracy laws sounds like the way to go.
I don’t get why all of the 12 year olds on here are bitching that the admins don’t want to deal with potentially getting the instance shut down and/or jail time. People don’t understand that the real world has consequences.
You’re being down voted, but I honestly agree with you
I watch bigger tech videos for entertainment and the teeny home grown ones for opinions on what to buy. Even then I’m cautious. Do others not view these videos that way? That’s how these big YouTubers make their money. It’s a conflict of interest to present opinion pieces and assuming any of them are unbiased is naive.
Why does no one understand that the admins don’t want the instance to be shut down and they don’t want to be arrested???
I am very pro-piracy, but I would never host a piracy community because I don’t want to be freaking jailed. Governments view those that host piracy and piracy communities much more harshly than random participants.
Is everyone on this website 12 years old and not understanding of real world consequences???
Piracy is a crime. Piracy communities constantly tow the line of legality and have a tendency to attract legal attention even if they are trying to not host content themselves.
They don’t want to be arrested lmao. I am pro-piracy, but I would never want to host pirated content from my own servers. You can absolutely be jailed for that.
All these comments about trying to cover them up are a bit odd to me.
Can’t you just remove them in settings where you think they might be visible and would rather not have them showing?
Granted, I don’t know anything about nipple piercings. But I have my ears pierced and I can choose whether or not I want to put earrings in my ears or leave them “naked” any given day.
I get that you’d have to likely wear them for a bit at first so the holes don’t immediately close at first…but after that why can’t you just put them in and out as you please.
Again, I don’t know anything about nipple piercings, so if I’m wrong about that then I apologize.

Note: I’ve no idea why the uploader decided to rotate the image, when I’ve tried rotating the original image in a way that’d fix it only to see that it didn’t matter
I had a Brother laser printer for a long ass time. I asked for it for a gift for either Christmas or my birthday as a teen because I’m a dweeb. It had an awesome feature called something like “continue print” or “print continue” or something that would force the printer to attempt to print even if your toner was low.
I think nowadays I’ve heard even Brother’s newer models don’t have this feature and will force you to replace the toner when it’s low instead of just going until it physically can’t anymore.
But after many years, the print head started printing funky and blotchy even with fresh toner and even after attempting to clean and fiddle with the corona wire. I’m sure someone that knew more than me could have figured it out eventually.
I was graduating from grad school at the time and just ended up chucking it in the bin when I moved, but it pained me a bit to do so considering how much of a tank it was. After I graduated I rarely need to print anything and usually just run to a print shop instead.
I wholeheartedly recommend Brother laser printers from the time, but I can’t say whether or not modern ones are as good or not.
I hate the word ‘Consumer’ or I mockingly call it ‘CONSOOMER’. Because that’s to imply everyone in the world is just cattle, but with wallets. We’re no longer customers. We’re consumers now. And a consumer’s purpose is to consume shit, whatever is put out there. Got money? Shut up and consume, it’s what...
In this video, a Canon print cartridge is opened up and revealed not to contain the meagre 11.9 ml (0.4 fl oz) of ink it is advertised. The proposed solution is to buy a printer designed to be manually refilled with bottles of ink (such as the featured Epson EcoTank ET-2850), though it has only been tested briefly.
How are they still only $50 for you at Zenni despite having a higher prescription? My prescription wavers back and forth in the -7 to -7.5 range and it’s always way more money than their average price to get high index lenses. I think the last time I tried plugging in my prescription it was more like $100, but I can’t recall exactly.
Because of my strong prescription, I’m also wary of using a place like Zenni because if the lenses are made slightly imprecisely or if they don’t get the PD just right or have it fitted to my face correctly, it’s significantly more noticeable and impactful for me. Have you noticed any issues with your relatively higher prescription and buying online?
To me, while I pay more like $300 at the optician, at least I know they will be correct as opposed to gambling with $100. If my prescription wasn’t as strong and the price was lower, I’d probably be more inclined to try Zenni.
I keep meaning to take a look into Warby Parker. Them having physical stores is just so much less risky with a strong prescription.
Edit: Never mind…for my prescription, Warby is basically the same price as the optometrist. Did they go up in price recently? I don’t remember that being the case prior.
Ever since its appearance in Android Pie, I always consider 2 button navigation is a bad attempt by Google trying to play catch-up with the fad generated by the iPhone X. However, due to a bug with A13 QPR2 it had to be temporarily removed and many were not happy about this. So, 2 button navigation users, may I ask why do you...
One should be at the bottom one at the top. I understand space on the phone is a premium but a second port would make the phone so much more usable. If you have a Motorola phone then you should just be able to twist your wrist to open the camera instead. Also chop to turn on the flashlight. I miss chop to flashlight the most when I switched away from Motorola.
You don’t wear women’s pants, do you? Either you don’t or you carry a purse. Some of us wear women’s pants and don’t want to carry a purse. Smartphones in around 2010 were small enough to fit in our pants, but have grown so much that it just isn’t possible nowadays unless you’re comfortable with like 80% of your phone protruding from your pocket and ready to fall out. A folding phone solves this. Plus it’s also fun lol.
Yeah I’m kind of sad they didn’t stick with the retro Razr design. But I heard from some reviewers that the “chin” on the phone was a bit odd/uncomfortable and some people found it off putting. Nowadays, people want the screen real estate to take up the entirety of the phone without any dead space.
after getting a newer car I had the issue that my old after market radio with android auto didnt Integrate that nice with my new car (it looked quite out of place sadly) I was forced with the choice of living with it or putting the default Radio back in (ford focus mk3 pre face lift non Sony and non sync)....
Forgive me, as I’m a bit stupid. This is just a skin for your phone that pops up on your phone screen when you drive? How is this any different than just using the “car mode” version of apps when driving? When I’m using Google Maps or Spotify while driving, my phone already automatically knows I’m in the car. I don’t have an Android Auto compatible car, my phone simply connects to media via bluetooth.

iOS seems to be meant for simplicity and ease of use. I mean, not that Android is confusing at all, but it seems that the less tech focused you are the more you gravitate toward iOS. I would never want an iPhone, but they seem to really kill it in the battery and camera departments.
You know I used to be with you on the SD card slot thing because phones used to have barely any internal storage. But now we’re seeing phones with hundreds of GB of onboard storage and having an SD card expansion on top of that feels wholly unnecessary.
US smartphone shipments declined 24% YoY in Q2 2023, according to Counterpoint Research’s Market Monitor data. This was the third consecutive quarter of YoY declines. Only problem with this is if you don’t have a backup and your phone suddenly dies on you it can be kind of panic inducing. Especially since when I went to buy a new phone afterward, my bank wanted me to prove that I was the one using my own card with a text message…except I couldn’t do that because my phone was dead and wouldn’t turn on so I couldn’t verify it wasn’t fraud and I couldn’t buy the new phone. Lol!
