This is not a Samsung issue. Your carrier is doing this because you have a carrier locked phone. To prevent it, buy a carrier unlocked phone and it won’t happen.
Hi all! Don’t kill me but I’m a heathen that just uses a Keurig. I recently got a new one that has an automatic milk frother and it’s been fun to use with regular milk....
I just purchased an oat milk that has a high fat content at 9g (which is much higher than the regular old cow milk I was using that frothed up just fine). Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to make a difference and will not froth.
I am having trouble locating these “batista editions” of milk alternatives unfortunately. I found “extra creamy” oat milk at 9g of fat, far higher than the cow milk I was using and it still won’t froth.
Ehh…I disagree with this if we are specifically talking about what the OP is referring to.
When you’re a child, everything is new, making all of it exciting. For example…as a child, OP had only experienced winter a few times. As an adult, they’ve experienced countless winters. It becomes routine instead of new and so it fades into the background. And with adult obligations to worry about, we don’t have that worry free child mind that can drift off like that. It’s just part of getting older.
OP, sometimes it’s worth making a conscious decision to stop and take a moment to notice and experience your surroundings. There’s a thunderstorm outside? Grab a warm cup of coffee and just try to watch and listen for a moment. If possible, open a window (that won’t let rain in) or sit outside under an awning and just take in all of your senses. Go out for a walk without any music and without using your phone. Try to look at the trees and birds around you and take it in. Smell the air…has the grass been recently cut? Has it rained recently? Is there mud around? Is someone nearby grilling some food? Are there leaves on the ground? Try stepping on one. Do they crunch or are they soft and wet?
As a child, everything is new. As an adult, it’s routine and boring. But you can still manage to capture a small bit of this feeling back if you actively decide to stop from time to time and consciously try to take in your surroundings for a moment. Stop and try to feel all of your senses.
You can never make these feelings new again, but sometimes I find some satisfaction in watching and listening to the world around me.
??? I mean not all of these pickup services cost extra. Instacart costs more, but Walmart pickup is free. I get it all the time so I don’t have to wade through the zoo that is Walmart.
This is why I’m not really on board with the people that advocate for others to seek out and join small instances unless they are older, well established, and active.
Yeah I’m not entirely unfertstanding why defederating with them should matter on Lemmy instances. Can we even view those types of posts on here? I know you can on kbin, but I didn’t think that was even a functionality of Lemmy.
Things have been updated since and it seems to finally work again for those of us it was broken for. Give it a shot! Or don’t because for me scrolling is still laggy as hell lol.
I am able to do neither though. Why is it that some people can still use the app and others can’t? It doesn’t matter if I’m logged in or not, nothing loads.
If you give someone a swirly, you risk exposing them to harmful bacteria from the toilet water. Is there any way to clean a toilet super thoroughly beforehand to make it safe?...
If you just clean it thoroughly with normal bleach it should be clean enough. Many pathogens in general don’t like to “stick” too well to non-porous surfaces. You can disinfect a toilet easier than you can a carpet. It’s just that usually you aren’t shitting on your own carpeting lol!
I just wanted to say: if you were to take every piece of software I’ve ever used in my 28 years on this earth, and you added up the cumulative amount of time I spent using each of them, RiF would be the winner. And it isn’t even close. And I now feel like I always took it for granted. It was always there, in the top left...
Thing is...usually the "convenience fee" isn't there if you pay in person. It's usually done in online sales. It actually costs less for you to use their online portal because they don't have to staff more employees in house. But for some reason companies like to charge you extra for buying online and put it as a "convenience fee" instead of going inside to pay. You could theorize that it has something to do with credit cards, but then why don't they charge you for paying by a credit card in store?
Which Reddit client are you coming from? Which Lemmy app are you enjoying the most right now? I’m an Android user coming from RIF. So far I have the most experience with Wefwef and Jerboa, and Wefwef is winning by leaps and bounds. I haven’t tried too much of the rest, but I’m curious of your opinion on them if you’ve tried them all!
I see this often in debate topics. Some people seem to think that every opinion is valid and worth listening to when no, I’m sorry, that really isn’t the case. There is no need to casually try to debate people who don’t believe the existence of the literal sun, or holocaust deniers, or those who think all gay people should be euthanized.
It’s a bit of a pet peeve of mine tbh, and I’ve always run into issues like this on discussion boards, especially of the past. Those with blatantly offensive and wrong viewpoints get bitchy when others don’t want their debate topics present because every opinion can be respectfully debated. No. Yes…often two opposing viewpoints can be valid. But other times, they most certainly are not. If you’re of the opinion that child porn should be accepted for example, it doesn’t matter how “respectfully” you try to present it and yourself. Your view is wrong and you do NOT deserve a platform to speak about it.
Hi all. After searching in the fediverse and not finding any TST centric communities, I’ve decided to try and create one.
