Hey, I’ve recently designed a Poster about the FHS since I often forget where I should place or find things. Do you have any feedback how to make it better?...
As reported in a reddit post and confirmed in a github discussion, Simple Mobile Tools is being sold to ZippoApps which is known for shady business practices....
Once someone exists publicly as code with an attached valid license it cannot be retroactively removed the right to use it. So only new versions could have different licenses or something.
I had a whole semester where classes where all in the morning (there was no choice until I had failed on the following years) and that whole semester I didn’t go to any classes. Great times sleeping.
Heavily consumed in Portugal too. Already bunch of news around about how expensive oil is going to be. Totally the new normal. It’s not surprising crops going crazy with weird weather, both too much and sudden rain coupled with crazy drought. Last year we already got similar situation.
Olive oil is the most essential ingredient to cooking and living around these parts of the world. There’s barely any cooking you can do without it. Literally everyone has to have it.
All reasonable and logical things. But someone bullied accumulates permanent damage for rest of their lives. A bully should expect full repercussions to the max. I sure wished a bunch of them would get run over by cars of broken some legs. They deserve it.
If they believe someone is a criminal already then just escalate things and appear in their houses in the middle of the night while they are sleeping. Worse than a bully only supportive parents. They all deserve the same treatment.
Some people use one 24h, other am/pm, but everything related to clocks always has the choice to use one or the other configurable. Most people use 24h format and most public info and tv shows and all that usually uses 24h. When I was a kid am/pm was used in more places, not sure why.
Basically everyone knows how to use both, it’s obvious and straightforward, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone ever not being able to know the time whichever foat was shown. Am/pm comes more often in informal talking when context of the conversation is obvious since it’s much easier to say snack at 3 than snack is at 15.
Completely agree. I keep trying to open a new session on a clean new user regularly to check if it works and it is absolutely horrible. 3 days ago after updating the system and seeing some new latest kde versions coming in, tried again and noped the out of it in a few minutes. The fonts and scalling in so many places are very bad.
I keep reading about great improvements in the 6 version and am really hopeful for it to be usable.
Or the problem is just that no developers have normal regular laptops that are 14’’ at 1080p and can’t imagine that proper scaling at 125% and 150% needs to work out of the box.
Edit: I don’t even have nvidia hardware, it’s just regular intel stuff. Can’t imagine the struggle of nvidia folks.
Oh the good old days of suffering from a distro based on the US that has to follow the stupid laws of software patents and problems coming from all that shit.
One of the top reasons to use Arch when I started because of the pragmatic approach of do not giving a fuck.
The problem of keeping comparing and doing analogies with apple shit stuff is that many of us have no idea what tech of magic apple does, so saying things like “just like apple” is a completely useless phrase that gives zero info whatsoever about anything.
yeah, I’ve seen enough documentaries to know that the person at least historically has existed and there are proofs. The whole craziness/allucination is a conplete different topic.
And there’s enough different religions and places in the world where other people have received knowledge/teachings from a shinny thing in the sky.
In all the decades of existing in this rock I don’t think I’ve ever met a girl that was on linux. I just got sad. I mean it’s also pretty difficult to find guys that are on linux anyway, but I know a few at least.
Yeah, I’m also in europe, so the gap in IT for girls is horrible. In the last decade more and more are seen in the area and that’s amazing, but still much to do. When I was in university a few years ago, the year I entered there was 8 girls in the IT course compared to the hundreds of boys.
On the following year there were like 12 girls in the freshman.
At this point I’d be happy for people to understand what pdfs are and stop sending them on the emails with signatures that say “to open the file download adobe acrobat reader”… Like I received the other day.
