criitz,

I mean I like crust but who’s out here looking for a higher crust ratio?

criitz,

Stop going to reddit ffs

criitz,

There are FOUR more? I never even watched #3… Without Macaulay what’s the point.

criitz,

This is pretty much the only answer needed 😅

criitz,

Please drink verification can

criitz,

The brother and sister had a questionable relationship

criitz,

This is all going on inside his head; meanwhile the other gym patrons aren’t looking at or thinking about him at all.

criitz,

One way to think about it -

The argument to the function is an angle

The operation is:

Draw a triangle with hypotenuse length 1, one angle 90, another angle is the one passed to the function

Divide the length of the side opposite the passed angle by the length of the hypotenuse

Return this value

The other trig functions are the same with different sides being divided.

criitz,

Yes. It equates body types with positive/negative traits. ie. “Big dick energy” implies “small dick = bad”

criitz,

Sorry that adapting is uncomfortable but no

criitz,

Small dick energy is bad but not small dicks? How does that make any sense. Think about it.

criitz,

Or, don’t use reddit ya scab.

criitz,

Let’s be real. We all now what a berry is, and bananas and watermelons ain’t it. Forget the scientific mumbo jumbo

criitz,

I don’t use any social media. Unless you count Lemmy but I don’t think that’s the same thing, we are anonymous here and I’m not posting pictures or statuses about my personal life.

In any case, social media like Facebook insta etc are doable without. The only regret I have is not having as much contact with extended family as I used to on Facebook.

criitz,

This take sounds great until you’re around someone that stinks

People who read marketing emails, where do you find the time to do so? And why?

I assume there are people who read these things, otherwise companies wouldn’t send me so many of them. I seem to get daily spam from literally any company I’ve ever interacted with in any way, and they are long boys full of text and pictures that Thunderbird helpfully hides from me but I presume are full of jagged brightly...

criitz, (edited )

This is how I used to do things. Then I went the other way. Now I just leave everything in my inbox. Fuck it. Email isn’t worth my time.

EDIT: I do still unsub from every marketing email I get. Things quiet down a lot when you do.

Americans of Lemmy, what is your approach to next year's election?

2020 was… truly unique. It was so hard to stay away from doom scrolling, and I (and many others) were pretty disillusioned by the sad fact that so much of our country legitimately supported the Orange Man. I didn’t get a wink of sleep the night of the election because I genuinely considered it to be a make or break decision...

criitz,

Blue no matter who. Nothing has changed about that.

criitz,

That’s the great part, by not participating you help the worst of them!

criitz,

Obviously the statement can apply to either party. But the guy I replied to was praising Rep. Tlaib. For them, the alternative to not voting (or voting third party) would presumably be voting Biden, never Trump. So by not voting they are helping Trump.

As far as non swing state voters having no power… Definitely true.

criitz,

But what are we supposed to do? We can vote for Trump instead or no-one instead. How does that make anything better? We agree there needs to be change, but we still have no real option here.

Has Windows startup repair or a troubleshooter ever fixed your issue even once?

Yeah, basically that. I’m back at work in Windows land on a Monday morning, and pondering what sadist at Microsoft included these features. It’s not hyperbole to say that the startup repair, and the troubleshooters in settings, have never fixed an issue I’ve encountered with Windows. Not even once. Is this typical?...

criitz,

I often use the network troubleshooter because I know that all that is needed is to turn the adapter off and on, which the troubleshooter will always do, saving me a couple of clicks to do it myself 🤷

criitz,

Cuz Oatmeal raisin are the best cookie

criitz,

I use nova launcher, not sure how it compares since I’ve never used anything else

criitz,

bathtub phone holder (for playing music in the shower)

If anyone wants this on the cheap, you can just put your phone in a zioloc bag. Airtight and doesn’t block touchscreen (or sound)

criitz,

For sure - not knocking your holder, just throwing out another suggestion!

criitz,

Boxers provide a layer between you and the pants. With commando the pants would need washing sooner.

criitz,

Jeans def don’t need to be washed every day

criitz,

What are you trying to get done? This is your life right now. Enjoy it, don’t spend it worrying about the end.

criitz,

I didn’t know there were profile pictures. I don’t see them in my app and that won’t be changing.

criitz,

Amen! If they don’t survive the dishwasher then it’s just nature culling the weak from the pack.

criitz,

What a croc, those eggs will be cold in minutes

criitz,

Bush’s campaign asked the Supreme Court to stop the Florida recount that Gore likely would have won (winning him the overall election). The conservative SCOTUS did what they asked.

criitz,

Acerolla is so good, glad to see him here

criitz, (edited )

Because it feels good to be intoxicated. Next.

criitz,

We need content, there’s not enough people here to make enough good content yet. We need some growth.

criitz,

AFAIK usenet is still relevant, no?

criitz,

I’ll be the one to say it…

The stock photo memes are not funny.

Do you think the Internet and websites with 'voting' systems encourage hivemind thinking and discourage any debate or discourse? Solutions?

I ‘upvote’ more or less all posts I interact with (sometimes I forget to vote). I feel like we should bring back open dialogues and heavily dissuade people from simply disregarding someone’s entire belief system or ideals based on 200 characters of text (an example)....

criitz,

Ive always thought votes and scores should be completely hidden. Still sort the posts and comments by upvote/downvote scores, but don’t show them. Then no one can obsess over their internet points and there wouldn’t be dumb karma farming content.

criitz,

I think we all know it’s sike, etymology aside

criitz,

I will think it was all worth it because I lived in each moment making it the best and not fretting about how I’ll look back on it when I’m about to die

criitz, (edited )

Sounds like you have a fine grasp of what Dragon Ball is to me

criitz,

I disagree. If the letter your adding is E, it will change the promounciation of the vowel. That’s the function of the E. Adding a consonant like t doesn’t change the vowel sound (eg. How you would pronounce something like “sif” vs “sift” - no change in the vowel.
