What is that thing called where you like randomly start picking-up/doing something that you saw someone do and now its a shared “thing” about you cuz you both do it genuinely
Like when Charlie becomes/starts doing a Griecko thing or Michael Scott imitates Ryan’s ridiculous facial hair
Environment be damned or don’t be damned. Because you like them or because you don’t like your neighbors … what animals would you like to see locally that are not there ?
For me, it’s jingle all the way. It’s got everything. A drunk reindeer. A terrorist mailman. Arnold punching a deer. Arnold punching Sinbad. Arnold punching Santa. Arnold in general....
85% of transitions in Australia are cashless… I don’t think many people care about cash here, I certainly don’t, everywhere takes cashless methods here.
I've got a nephew who is 3-something years old. He's really into airplanes. All of the ideas of gifts I've found have either been books (I give him books, but I'd like to give him something interactive) or toys that are way above his age level....
My kids have had a few of these over the years and they’re great. At 3-4yrs, they’ll needs some help with instructions and folding, but it’s still a great gift.
I absolutely love flying dreams, not for the actual flying, but because I always use my skill to get out of bad/unwanted situations. I’ll be in a foot chase and I’ll just zing off into the sky. I’m also the only one who can fly, so I show off a lot.
Choice Australia did a test of different washing liquid recently and found the Aldi stuff to be one of the best and a bunch of expensive brands to be no better than plain hot water.
I find the cloth generic band aids to be identical to brand name, the plastic one of any brand, well they’re just crap and I don’t know why the even exist.
I’m looking for a free GUI that can download a YouTube channel in a particular language (i.e. Japanese) with it’s associated English subtitles preferably in SRT format....
I’ve been using Tartube for a few years, unsure of its subtitles capabilities, but it’s really feature packed and it wouldn’t surprise me if it can do you want.
I always hear people/actors/directors say, this tape or film is x meters long, it is this size, etc. do they really still use physical film? If so why aren’t they using terabytes of storage in a way more compact form?
Definitely, forgot about that, calls do seem to go via the cars factory Bluetooth system. I can unplug my phone mid call and it jumps to the cars own call screen.
So phone number, duration and possibly caller/contact name would be known by the factory headunit and any other information Bluetooth shares with the connect device.
The car thing is insane, even when you explain that you live in as regional area with limited options AND that I can drive to work in 20mins vs 60mins on public transport, you still get yelled at.
If you replace “cities” with “rural towns” you might have a better understanding of why we still need cars in regional areas.
Australia is HUGE, the rural towns are far apart and have low populations.
You can’t run a bus/train every 10-20mins for 3 people, you run a bus/train ever 2hrs for 40 people, and they’ll never change.
I’m all for accessible cities, for those that want to live in them, but you’ll never get me away from my quiet rural life on the edge of regional centre. The reality is the transport in my town of 40,000 people has an insignificant impact on the environment compared Sydney, for example, with +5,000,000 people.
You can’t compare rural France and rural Australia, the cities sure, build your 15min cities anywhere the population density suits it, but it doesn’t work in regional Australia.

What animal could you delete from existence with a mostly positive outcome for the planet?
And don’t say humans, too obvious, too cynical....
What non-native animal would you really really really like to introduce into your local habitat ?
