The point he’s making is that despite that, at least they aren’t actively practicing anti-tolerance and hate. You missed the point of the post completely to attempt to incite a flame war.
Ben Sliney actually played himself in the movie United 93. It was his first day on the job, but he was pretty experienced, he previously ran all of New York City’s air traffic.
I saw an interview with him maybe 15 years ago (sorry I can’t find it now) but he grounded every plane in the US without approval from anyone above him on his first day as the FAA National Operation Manager (I believe he was at least 5 levels below the President).
Pretty incredible story but he knew how to react and executed the plan well.
edit: clarified some stuff and figured I should include his Wikipedia page too
I’m pretty new to lemmy but I was on reddit for more than a decade. Bots help by posting and summarizing articles but often times they miss the important stuff which require extra clicks.
I’m reminded of early reddit, to get people to talk about it you should have as much relevant info at hand. If I can save 10 people a click for 30 seconds of my time then overall it should be a better experience.
As “innocent” as they are portrayed, the hypocrisy is the least of their problems. Their abuse of both people and animals is extremely widespread and rarely talked about.
I just beat it and got 1000 gamer score in about 4 hours. I loved every second. For being a literal 1 button puzzler it got quite complex!
Loved it. Favorite casual game of the year so far.
By the way for those like me who wanted non spoiler answers on some things here is for who follows:
There are 4 globes / spheres, red green purple and white. When uncovering the firefly thing it’s easiest to remember the sides in each shape order by number. Triangle = 3, diamond = 4, butterfly = b, then 5 and 6.
Also, if you can tell you’re about to move forward with no way back (not always easy to tell) then explore. There are moon men collectables about every 10 minutes or every other scene.
If you miss one there’s an easy “load from this exact spot” once you beat it.
edit: added more to the end, will add as I think of more tips
I don’t even click reddit links on mobile anymore. If it’s something I might need (relevant tech support questions occasionally) I’ll wait until I’m on my pc for old.
