You have to find your way past the 99% commercial, screaming crap and the toxic stuff that its algorithm recommends. Adblocking or premium is a must but even then the constant in-video ads have become a cancer. It’s sometimes unbearable and makes me unsubscribe.

YouTube is like a bowl of shit with a few gems at the bottom. You just have to dig to get there.

There are already a bunch of good recommendations here so I won’t repeat them but:

Recently I found HowardHandsTV, pop culture analysis, very funny and feels like an old school channel.

Also Common Sense Skeptic ripping apart Elon Musk and Andrew Tate lately has been entertaining.

I also fall asleep to Michael MJD and his weird and fun reviews/projects, I think it’s the voice that is soothing.

Tell him “No, if you want something from me come to me, I am not a puppy”. That should be enough. See how he reacts, either like a bratty kid or like an adult.

In the case that you give as an example or an emergency, sure I agree. But that’s rare. To demand someone getting up and coming to you because you want something undefined is really rude, that’s not normal. I don’t think it’s the same thing at all to tell them what I suggested.

Liftoff is the only app that does swipe anywhere to go back so it’s the only real usable alternative so far

We must not be on the same version then. In Memmy I can only swipe anywhere on the bottom menu bar to go back (and of course from the left edge of the screen like all apps).

Me again, it doesn’t seem to work with swipe anywhere in the comment section though. Too bad :( I hope they’ll fix it because the app (Thunder) seems nice. Back to Liftoff…

I’m like you, I also switch between many and Voyager sure is very Apollo like. And one of the apps that most consistently works.

Yeah, Liftoff allows for swipe anywhere also on comments. That’s how I personally want it, different behaviours depending on where you are is not very nice. You can still swipe left to upvote or save I believe, I am not sure if itself possible to change that yet.

The best thing would just be if one app managed to copy Apollo, it is the gold standard in usability.

I also think it’s very impressive with so many cool apps. Fantastic developers. But I kind of wish I had just one that was suiting.

A water flosser does nothing against calculus. I use one myself and it’s a nice feeling but for calculus you need real floss picks and brute force.

Yes, a water flosser does not help against calculus. But it’s still a nice fresh feeling with water so it’s not a bad thing. But to get rid of calculus you need to physically rub/scratch it off with floss sticks between the teeth.

Also ich gebe zu dass Banane krass eklig süß ist aber z. B. Mio Mio Standard oder Zitronengras sind auf jeden Fall leckerer als Club Mate IMO.
