The goal of this community is to be able to scroll through and just see images of the maps, then read the descriptions that authors share. Not getting into the weeds about their recent stuff - but the community of Reddit has generally given great to me.
I have found, expanded, and learned about so many interests and hobbies and information through Reddit. From computer repairs, to game help, to install guides, to home repair, even just getting some new perspectives. For years it was a community I felt happy to interact with and that in general wanted to help others
So i still have depression and im constantly bored, i feel like a loser who cant do anything right. I want to let my creativeness out, make something i can share with the world or family, but im probably dreaming too big. I cant stand being depressed and bored, it stinks, everyone tells me to work out but i lack the motivation...
Exercise is a definite one. This is actually coming from a medical side, not just a personal one. There’s a lot of data there.
However I think hobbies that are ‘measurable’ are also really good. Ones where you can feel like you accomplished something. So things like painting, drawing, learning something, reading, where you can feel like youve finished something I feel really helps.
So a good idea might be combining the two. Maybe an exercise with a goal in mind. Or maybe take a few karate classes, with the goal of working towards your first belt. Or biking a certain distance every day to reach a total amount for a month. I personally find when i can see that my hobby has some measurable accomplishment, I personally feel more satisfied with that
Also for me social things help a lot. Im a very social person, but can get such in a rut. Finding more ways to be social can help expand and open you up to other things

I find it’s very context dependent. In the 3d model/printables, a lot of people who release the pirated content so a 3-4 month embargo to allow the creator a chance to let people get it legally before it’s available everywhere.

Comicrack is really the best. It’s amazing for wireless sync. The software was abandoned by the dev but there’s actually a pretty great community on Reddit for it. Theres a workflow there someone made that essentially you can dump all your comics into a folder, and (you do have to do some of the input) within 5 minutes you’ll have all the comics tagged, labeled, organized into appropriate folders, all the metadata, and ready to sync to your external tablet. I just synced 8000+ comics last night with it
This is the workflow I used. I did have to do a decent amount of customizing to get it right, changing folders, adding publishers, but now its really easy. I can dump 300+ comics into a folder and have them organized in a really short time. Getting it started did take some time, but once the work flow was setup it is actually really great

Been a Reddit is Fun good user for over a decade. Is by far been my most used app. Earlier editions had the little alien in the corner, and I have three phones with that logo burned into the screen. I really have been enjoying the growth of Lemmy/Fediverse, and it reminds me honestly of early Reddit. But still it's bittersweet losing RiF and how drastically the community of Reddit has changed over the last few months

Thank you so much for your hard work, I cannot overstate how much I loved your app. I'm sure you've been getting this bunch but seriously the experience on Reddit is fun was what made Reddit. I have barely used it ever on a computer and have never really experienced it any other way. It is by far the number one used to have on my phone and losing access to it is losing access to Reddit for me. I'd love to know about any other projects that you're working on because the quality and simplicity of your product was what made the experience so great all these years!
