When I was young I used to go out every Saturday with my dad and a guy that was part of a bird banding group. We mostly caught warblers and chickadees and a few others line that.
I learned how to hold birds, band them, untangle them from the nets, and all about their personalities. It was so much fun getting to hold wild birds and track their migratory patterns.
Many birds we would see on the same week every year. It’s amazing.
I think they’re way more strict about who can hold or untangle birds now. So I feel even more privileged to have gotten to participate as a kid (teenager).
I’ve noticed that I actually sleep better taking them in the morning and don’t feel that groggy at all. Is there a valueable effect that I’m missing from taking them in the mornings instead of in the evenings?
EDIT: Thank you for all the great responses! I agree that a forced implementation is no longer the way to go. I’ve left the post as is, aside from this comment, in case anyone wanted to reference part of it. At this point, I think implementation 1 (Sincere Request) is the way to go if anything....
I’d rather just have different communities. There are some instances I’d prefer not to have to go to and this proposal would give more controls to the bigger communities.

This would save young Americans from going into crippling debt, but it would also make a university degree completely unaffordable for most. However, in the age of the Internet, that doesn’t mean they couldn’t get an education....

All browsing is what really sucks for some niche communities. Until we have the ability to exclude our communities from all, these niche communities don’t have a chance to survive.

I’m not a manager but a team lead. And I’ve had to train people remotely. It’s way easier to train them in person, especially when there’s a team to answer their questions and not just me.
I try to offload some questions here and there but it’s definitely easier in person.
That said, I still way prefer working remotely. I try to go into the office sometimes. But man it’s just so much more convenient working at home.
I unsubscribed from world news on lemmy.ml as soon as I heard about them being tankies. Lemmy.world has the same community with mostly the same posts anyway.
