Help-wanted advertisements in New York will have to disclose proposed pay rates after a statewide salary transparency law goes into effect on Sunday, part of growing state and city efforts to give women and people of color a tool to advocate for equal pay for equal work....
For those not aware, she’s a far right congress woman that publically hates on the LGBT community. The issue here isn’t that this guy is cool with alternative peeps, it’s that she’s a hypocrite.
That wasn’t poor decision making. That was knowing their worth. They knew if the company demanded a return to office they could simply continue working remote for a different company, likely with an increase in pay. Only a fool would alter their life plans for some company that might require RTO. Now they’re enjoying improved quality of life while living where they prefer.
Polling conducted in August by All In Together, in partnership with polling firm Echelon Insights found that 34 percent of women aged 18-39 said they or someone they know personally has “decided not to get pregnant due to concerns about managing pregnancy-related medical emergencies.” Put another way, poor or unavailable...
I’m just going to take this moment to remind everyone not to destroy their hearing. Back in highschool I used to blast my ears with headphones at maximum volume and go to loud venues without hearing protection. I’ve been permanently listening to EEEEEEEEEEEEE ever since. That was 25 years ago. It never goes away folks. Stay safe!
The used-car market’s hot streak may be ending as borrowers struggle to make payments and regulators say some auto lenders are “setting up consumers to fail.”
No way! They wouldn’t do that! Oh no, they certainly wouldn’t structure their entire empire around intentionally seeking out those who won’t be able to pay off their loan, repo their car to “sell” it to the next person they pray on and repeat the whole cycle again! Never!
The hurricane, which reached 160mph (258km/h) winds on Friday (8 September), was a category one storm on Thursday but intensified to a category five, increasing by 85mph (137km/h) in just 24 hours. The increase made the hurricane, which meteorologists dubbed “rare”, the third-fastest rapid intensification in the Atlantic....

With the large size of the US, I don’t think people realize how difficult it’s going to become here when the migrations begin. Those that can move will (people with money) the rest will be forced to stay where they are and become desperate. Desperate people can be dangerous, especially in numbers. Drug use will skyrocket as well.
Isn’t Morocco known for being a tight labyrinth of walkways, old buildings and stairs all made of block. It seems like the worst place to have an earthquake.
I quit my job in January. Fuck being a wage slave. Fuck making other people rich. I’m done with all that. I’ll live a simple life with little money rather than go back to that self destructive misery.
I live in an off-grid RV doing freelance work. It’s a financial struggle sometimes but I would say my overall quality of life has improved dramatically.

I think the bots were always there but now they are free to run wild. There are no mods (human or bot) to regulate them. And since there’s no more quality, human made content this shit bubbles up to the top instead of being buried.

With all the building permits and bureaucracy California demands, it’ll take 30 years for this to be built. By then NorCal will be a burning hellscape. Shortly after, it’ll be invaded by people from Stockton and Sacramento and looted.

I’m in my 30s so I should be used to this by now, but this shit is getting so stressful guys. I have no savings, my checking account is drained every month with rent, and if there’s ever a serious emergency I have no safety net, I’m legitimately fucked. I’m one unplanned expense away from absolute ruin. Those in the same...
I realized that paying rent was like throwing money into a bottomless pit. Obviously buying a house was out of the question so I bought a used RV and moved into that. I added solar panels and all the VanLife type stuff and now my biggest expense is for the storage unit I put all my stuff in. No more rent, no power, water or most other bills. StarLink is expensive but with all the other expenses eliminated it’s not bad at all.
The government has already been doing this on a larger scale with higher altitudes. It’s funny nobody seems to care as long as they can’t see the drones but once they’re low enough to be visible watch everyone lose their minds.

There were some niche subs that I miss but I haven’t looked back since migrating here. It’s really not an option anyway. They removed any usable way to view their content so that is that.
I feel like this is a lost art that was huge in the late 90’s. Everyone wanted to see how many fps they could get out of their toaster. Now, it’s not just the users but even the developers don’t care about optimization anymore.
I use a mini-PC and as many of these drive stations as needed: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WR9N3KWI started with HDD’s but SSD’s work much better with those stations. Bonus: Those guys can clone drives without a computer or anything.
Considering how crazy expensive accommodations have become the last couple of years, concentrated in the hands of greedy corporations, landlords and how little politicians seem to care about this problem, do you think we will ever experience a real estate market crash that would bring those exorbitant prices back to Earth?
