I assume the salaries are included in the break even?

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

They bought D&D beyond recently right? So they are not against investing in D&D?

I guess they are not planning a 6th edition and just want the D&D as a service revenue.

If they dump their currency and use USD, then as long as there arnough dollars around it solves inflation right? (Their economy is a blip to the Goliath that is USD)

But if that’s the case, then their currency is useless as everyone knows if will have zero value at all in a few months/years.

It does mean they can’t print money to get out of trouble though… Not that that was going well for them before.

Get a client (or instance) that allows it then 🙂

If your happy to wear a fitness tracker there are lots of options by companies such as Garmin.

Not sure about phone only ones

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

Most trackers will only sync with their manufacturers app (therefore giving them the data)

it might be different with a full on smart watch as I assume you can install fitness apps on it?

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

That’s a bit of a no-story? Doesn’t even give examples on what people’s problems with the simulation are?

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

However, they are appealing the judgement.

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

It can’t go above 9% of salary though. Treat it like a tax unfortunately.

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

Lemmy removed it (or have announced they are going to?) from the API, which is why voyager switched.

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

I can’t now find a source for this… So maybe it’s me that’s wrong…

Their release notes are on GitHub, but I can’t find (on mobile ATM) the plans for the future.

@girl See Can’s comment above this

This is not made by (or in association with) valve.

It’s effectively a mod built on portal2

Custom Insert for Terraforming Mars (feddit.de)

I spend some time to make a custom insert for Terraforming Mars, I just dislike all those tiny baggies! Everything fits neatly into the box and I just love the boxes for the Gold, Silver and Copper resources. Its so satisfying to align them all inside :D. I also enjoy that the cards are at an angle, makes shuffling unnecessary...

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

It has expansions!?!

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

From a Google ther appear to be at least 4!

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

Oh wow, that would be a DMs dream (if everyone hadn’t already played the game)

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

It finished even faster when it crashes right?

This Icelandic guy has a YouTube channel with great 4K drone footage of the area (and the rest of Iceland).

He is (obviously) doing a lot of coverage in this area currently and has some snippets of info from Icelandic Volcanologists that may not be available elsewhere.

Voyager is just a web client packaged as an app (and definitely supports posting)

Are you sure you are logged in correctly? What are you seeing when trying to post?

Nighed,

Has to deal with (some) of his mess after all

BBC and then here for the more obscure stuff.

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

Email addresses are pretty much public, you give it out to people all the time. It’s no different to giving your physical address, it allows someone to link you to a location, but your house is there anyway if someone walks down the road and wants to break in.

Make sure you keep your software (operating system, browser etc) up to date and don’t install sketchy software.

Install a reputable add blocker on your browser as that can help.

The BBC (British Broadcasting Company) has its own masterdon server it is experimenting with: social.bbc/about

It’s cool they have their own top level domain, they should use it more!

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

Surprised a company of their scale and with such a reliance on stability isn’t running their own data centres. I guess they were trusting their failover process enough not to care

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

This sounds like a core datacetre though?

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

I thought the point of a game engine was to do that stuff…

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

Possibly moderation bots too.

Nighed,

These are the premium brand near me 🫤

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

Yeh, but the cheaper ones are worse…

FYI - in Google photos if you search for a month, it shows all your photos taken in that month (so you can browse all your December pictures easily)

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

More an an FYI for everyone else 🙂

Apparently it originally had a different title "And She Had a Heart!”.

Unsure if this has been brightened? Was looking it up and some websites have it much darker.

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

It’s not as bad as the title - read the TLDR.

It’s a resonably sensible change. I wouldn’t be surprised if they extend it to images etc (on a longer timescale) as I keep seeing people hosting images off discord…

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

I guess so, it depends how they are treating them though. Image files (probably) are not being used to distribute malware and are going to create a lot more dead links.

Is this change live? We could probably test it. (Re read the article - not yet)

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

I would argue about the ‘fun’ of some of them, but definitely good challenges.

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

Lots of games are a lot more fun if you roleplay them. Forget your meta knowledge, what would the character do? This adds a lot to strategy games as it adds challenge and puts you in interesting situations.

Playing without savescumming is also a good challenge in a bug free game. I try to only savescum for bugs/missclicks.

For MMOs - play through to the endgame with randoms only, no guild/org etc.

Does anyone else think the water just looks… Strange? I think their wave texture is just too large? Needs to be more smaller waves.

The rich have a really high carbon footprint per kg of meat, even pork and beef have a lower carbon footprint!

Don’t encourage the billionaire meat industry!

It’s probably unmaintained because they don’t care any more, or don’t have the time. If they don’t care or have time, they are not going to spend the effort and time required to open source it and publicise that fact

Nighed,

Any idea if this is a proper (shut down) bankruptcy, or a get cheaper leases bankruptcy?

Nighed,
@Nighed@sffa.community avatar

And that’s the restructuring one? Does that let them escape or decrease their leases?

(Not familiar with American bankruptcy laws(…or any bankruptcy laws))
