YouTube screwing itself with adblockers again

I use Firefox and uBlock Origin. Not sure what kind of experience anyone else is having with YouTube, but recently my home page has been empty because I “don’t have watch history turned on”. Okay, fine. I won’t be able to browse suggested videos, and I’ll spend less time on their platform....

I wasn’t aware of ‘REMVideoArchive’ until you pointed it out. I’ve taken a quick scan of their channel and website and it appears that we shared very similar content. Maybe that group reported me to YouTube or maybe not. I have no idea since YouTube did not make any attempt to explain any details other than the screenshots that I provided. Again, I’m not upset. I’m just confused.

As far as I understand this, a large enough CME could send society back into the stone age. It could wipe out all electronics (the entire electrical grid, all computers, etc). What are we looking at here with this report?

Thank you for all of this information. 15-30 minute warning is meaningless in a worst case scenario. A substantial CME could be the end of most people on Earth so reliant on the electrical/electronic infrastructure. It would spell absolute chaos upon the western world. Probably, the only people that could survive this are ones that truly live off the land in almost every respect.

Fix for Beeper Cloud is done, rolling out patch to all users now (3.5 hours remaining til everyone is fixed). No need to contact Beeper Help regarding this issue.

Testing fix for Mini now. Will require app update.

We realize how incredibly inconvenient this is for you. It’s super annoying that Apple is penalizing their own customers and Android users who just want secure and encrypted chats.

We understand if you choose to disable the iMessage bridge at this time. We’ll try to stabilize this and get you back in future.

There are several apps that offer more features and more privacy than iMessage and are officially supported (not relying on unofficial hacks) on every modern smartphone.

How do you deal with disability discrimination at work?

I’m looking for a little advice because I’m feeling pretty lost. Without going too far into it, my manager at work is using things that she knows are part of my disability, autism, to give others a negative impression of my work performance and conduct, and causing me to be disciplined. I’ve had only one workplace experience that I would consider extreme. I was directly threatened (unsolicited physical harm) by another co-worker. I immediately brought it to the attention of the manager and their response was: “I don’t have time for this shit!”.

I walked out, got in my car and drove home. Then I wrote a very detailed letter (email) to the corporate headquarters explaining what had transpired. The next morning I went back to work, with several printed copies of that email, to hand deliver to the managers.

While waiting in my car for the building to open, one of the managers came to speak to me. They expressed to me that they knew what had happened the previous day and headquarters weren’t going to do anything about it. I gave that manager the printed copies, drove home and never looked back.

I had enough self-respect and dignity to just move on and leave all those assholes behind.

Why would you feel this way…most of us were born into this world not knowing anything about climate change…I only learned about it in 2007…Scientists have known about this problem, at least, since the 1950s…It has been shown, many times over, that the primary responsibility (of no longer burning fossil fuels) falls onto a handful (or so) of very large corporations…Of course, they want the every day person to feel guilty and have been pushing green-washing propaganda for decades onto all of us…propaganda works in their favor to deflect the blame off of themselves and onto you and I.

Right now, China and India must get on board quickly in order for the future populations to subvert the worst case scenarios.

YouTube once again ahead of uBO on Firefox; fiddling with the extension settings not working this time and DDG search is useless ... anyone got ideas?

Pretty much the subject line. uBO has successfully blocked the nag screen enough times that I can’t play anything at this point. No preview loads, and the play button serves no function. I’d really prefer not to have to find content on YT, copy the URL and use Piped/Invidious, but this ongoing escalation is steeling my...
