Actually this dude I worked with replaced water with diet Pepsi. He said the tap water was filled government nanobots or something. Hasn’t drank water in 20 years. But he’s not sane so…
That’s not for me. Not gonna pay AAA prices for a game I have to spend hours of my own time fixing their mistakes. He’ll I’d have to learn a whole new skill.
These printers come with that too. Just most didn’t have it turned off overnight when this happened.
They should have it turned off because the Bambu lab printed have been tested and shown to draw much more power when idle compared to other printers. It’s not much but overtime it adds up.
I bought from them knowing about the cloud service. These printers are fine for one off purchases, but I would never buy one if I were to set up a print farm. The parts are all reasonably priced, just don’t know how long that will last or they may discontinue the model and stop selling parts for it.
Nah, we Canadians can be just as scummy as anyone else.
The way Linus is portrayed here kind of reminds me another guild leader I knew for a while. Charismatic as fuck, could talk out of his ass like he knew his was 100% right even though he was wrong. I climbed the ranks because the other officers were leaving. Eventually I found out why they left so I did too.
I have a shelving structure that needs some organizing. It has lots of random stuff like computer mouse, cables, earbuds, headphones, papers, folders, binders, bottles, books. It’s just a tower of horizontal floors with not organization whatsoever. So I’ve been looking at organizational solutions and came across gridfinity....
Remember you are in control, you have the power. If you’re unhappy with your instance, move instance. If you’re unhappy with another instance, go outside and come back once you’ve calmed down. Especially in regards to the threadiverse, we’re better together, even when we’re apart.
Printed threads and snap connectors are nice, but M3 bolts and nuts are more robust and look dope. They also make the model easier to design and print, since you don’t have to worry about tolerances as much....
The government is encouraging Canadians to switch to EVs and heat pumps to fight climate change. But many CBC News readers have asked: won’t electrifying everything break the grid and drive up energy costs? Here’s what electricity operators and those researching the transition say.
Damn right. Houses are always built as cheaply as possible and they need to really increase the standards we build our houses to. If there’s ever a push to make those changes you’ll probably hear push back from developers and others about how it’s going to further make houses unaffordable. Thats the smallest contribution to housing prices so too bad I say.
What orientation do you print these in? Looks like you’d need supports and I’ve had trouble getting nice finishes on the side that needs the supports. I’ve only printed with PLA though.
Oh of course I’d print them in TPU. I was just saying that because I have no experience with printing it and if the ugly side is as ugly with TPU. That’s my only concern with printing a phone case. I’m pretty new to 3d printing so I only just learned some the limitations and the ugly side of things lol.
“This has become probably the most important both economic and political problem facing the country right now,” said Tyler Meredith, a former head of economic strategy and planning for Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland....
Anyone who votes for liberals hoping they’ll fix housing issues is an idiot. They haven’t done anything about it other than give handouts. Housing prices have still gone up and its only gonna me painful to correct the housing issues in Canada.
They keep trying to push that’s it’s a supply issue but I see it more of a price issue. Housing is over priced. You can build all you want but at market prices it’s too expensive for people to buy.
They also don’t want to bring it town because the dumb homeowners will just blame the current government when the prices correct themselves. It’s suicide for any party to willingly tank the housing prices. It’s only gonna get worse the longer we wait to do it. And it’s gonna be global because we aren’t the only country effected by it.
I think it’s just two monitors are creatively mounted. They are just sandwiched between two desks. Ultrawide monitors are generally curved so I doubt that it’s ultrawide.
I’m looking to start keeping hardware for prints that need additional parts to complete them. A Pi case that I printed needed screws that I don’t have on hand and needed to go searching for some....
I’ve only just got started but I bought those sets of m2-m6 nut, bolt and threaded insert sets. After that I’ll just replace one size at a time as I need them since I know I’ll probably end up using the same sizes over and over.
As the other poster stated, you get what you negotiate for. If you don’t negotiate for those secondary payments then you don’t get them. It’s right to argue when it’s “right or wrong” for those payments but you can argue whether it’s fair.
The corporations take on the risk but when it pays the payout isn’t fairly distributed. It unfairly goes to the top players who didn’t take any risk on because they are seperate from the corporation.
Also just because you don’t get any doesn’t mean nobody else should. You can try and negotiate that with your employer if you want. If you keep that mentality then you’re only bringing everyone else down to your level. We should be elevating each other. That mentality is just jealousy and it will keep you where you are.
While Baldur's Gate 3 is being widely celebrated by fans and developers alike, some are panicking that this could set new expectations from fans. Good.
Click baiting video. Other devs don’t care. As long as they can make money pumping out mediocre games then they will continue to do so. Acting like this is the first good game to come out in a decade or something.
Yeah that’s what it seems like to me. Some avatar ala v-tubers. No difference especially considering a lot of v-tubers avatars are owned by corporations.
Don’t they just hire the Chinese Factory #156 or whatever to stamp out the same cheap crap but with their name on it like half the stuff already available on their website?
Developer in our town is redeveloping a parcel that used to be a Catholic school. The developer wanted to remove the tree because it was in the way, but a lot of people in town protested . I guess now everyone is happy?
Not exactly true. A couple of trees got chopped down in the park just in the other side of my fence. New trees starting sprouting all over my lawn from the root. I left a couple grow in and they’ve been growing at least a couple feet each year.
He’s a socially immature streamer on Twitch.tv. He speaks really fast and it often turns in to stutters or is unintelligible by the average person. He barely creates any content except being shocking and rude. The vast majority of his audience is in the tweens so they think he is being edgy but in reality he is not. He seems to get along with people off stream so he probably hams it up on stream as to where he derails the vibe in any group setting. Basically he’s an adult version of a kid that has to always be the center of attention. Except he makes millions because his audience is one of the largest in the world. Also he promotes gambling to his audience which is knows is very young.
Hope this comes to the p1p too. I’ve been printing the vision enclosure and the sides are so tall the print bed almost bottoms out so the motor skips when it hits the bottom on a new print.
As the title says. I’m new to 3d printing and I’m looking for tips on how make two parts fit together nicely. I’ve read 0.4mm clearance between the two parts modelled together is a nice rule of thumb.
I was just looking for general tips that could apply to wide arrangement of situations. This post was more to the get the conversation going in this community. I have a few ideas I have yet to test out and when they don’t pan out I’ll make a post.
I’ve subscribed to a plethora of communities that really interest me and actually have posts and discussions in them, but I have to go to the specific community to see this. My “Subscribed” feed only contains a few of the same posts that I’ve seen for weeks in Hot, the same posts from even longer ago in “Active”,...
I feel you. Hot just doesn’t work like it did on Reddit. I get swamped with posts from the most active communities and some old posts. It doesn’t give me a nice spread of all my subbed communities like Reddit did. Also when browsing all it gave randomly showed me like 10 posts from some long nosed dog community. Did it twice so I blocked that community. Probably not on them, but just an issue with the Hot algorithm.
Hot shouldn’t be a set number of votes though. It should all be relative so that it can scale with the site. If 100 up votes in an hour would constitute hot today it wouldnt be the same if the active users doubled at some point. So to call anything at best lukewarm now would be incorrect when talking in the fediverse.
I saw this video from Uncle Jessie’s recently. Only just got in to 3d printing myself so I haven’t tried it but others here have mentioned it and video speaks for itself.

How do you bond parts together and hide the seams?
When you make something that’s too big for your printer, how do you hide the seams from bonding when aesthetics are a priority?
