Links support parameters for a reason, and I promise you that the main reason isn’t tracking. They can convey important info like the language, search parameters, a specific comment, etc.
Removing them willy-nilly by default is going to cause issue sooner or later, and then people are going to blame Firefox for “not working” and are just gonna switch to Chrome because “it just works”.
The whole point of me making certain payments with crypto is for it not to be attached to my name. obviously the crypto service company has my cc details. whats the most privacy friendly one? ty :)

Main chain transactions should, on average, take around 6 minutes to confirm.
It’ll be seconds only if you’re very lucky.
Don’t wanna hate, crypto is hella cool, but overselling it won’t help anyone.
Edit: oh yeah, and lightning won’t confirm in microseconds, you’ve got your scales mixed up mate, it’s gonna be tens to hundreds of milliseconds, simply of your wifi’s latency.
Makes it a bit more annoying to parse, though I definitely see your point.
However, you’re still proposing a standard: “has to include both the currency and the amount in the parameter”, so why not split them up at that point?
A. I’m not saying it doesn’t, I’m just disputing what you said about onchain txs.
B. CCs are much less anonymous, making engaging in fraud much riskier. If you did this 10 times your bank would notice, adds up for you. If you do it with an anonymous system, you’re forgotten the second you walk out of the store (barring being caught on camera but you can solve that by wearing a mask or something).
I do see your point, but I don’t think it’s an apples to apples comparison.
Yes, it’ll be uploaded elsewhere. That’s the whole point.
Discord doesn’t want to host any of this data, they don’t want to be connected to criminal activity. It makes sense.
Also, while it might slightly lower their storage costs (if the hackers move elsewhere), if you send a file to someone, it’ll still stay on Discord’s servers. Only difference is the link to said file - it’ll only be valid for a day, and then you’ll have to use a new one (in a way that’s probably transparent to the user)
Can’t you theoretically just move super fast but across a very small distance? They could just “stay” with the Earth, moving with it as needed, maybe eventually they’d learn to do that automatically as well.
Hey, I’ve got a bunch of services all running in their own containers/vms on Proxmox. All of these have their own ips that are accessible from my network....
I’ve got firewall set up, services are only accessible through the reverse proxy, was more concerned about something like logging into keycloak and having the password leaked with MitM or another attack of the sort.
