The developers behind DayZ and Rust have taken to X/Twitter to troll The Day Before developer after it announced its studio was closing its doors following the release of The Day Before.
A lot of people have hate boners for Bethesda and their games, I think it’s partially because of how popular they are, even with each game having many flaws in their design. It’s also likely some are older fans who played Morrowind and dislike the direction toward accessible/mainstream design as that comes at a cost of the more intricate/in-depth systems which means generally less customizability in how you can play the game.
Don’t get me wrong, Bethesda games can and do deserve to be critiqued, but a lot of people just go way overboard.
I put 177 hours into Starfield, and enjoyed it quite a bit, I have my own nitpicks and definitely just wish there was more content/things to do, but I know that because of the modding support, I’ll come back and play it over and over again for years to come. Just like I have with Skyrim (742 hrs on SSE alone, so not including my 360 gameplay way back when it first came out), Fallout 4 (951 hrs) and NV (which I’m currently replaying right now as I haven’t since it first came out).

Similar situation with some of the less popular Monty Python movies or sketches, while watching I’m just like, ok this is weird, then while you’re explaining it or talking to someone who knows you’re just cracking up…
My cats definitely need cuddles every day, they want to drink from the sink at least once a day, when I’m working at my desk they’ll sleep on my lap or stand in front of my monitors staring at me for attention, they’ll cry at the bedroom door.

That’s not how it works when major companies buy one another, it generally takes years for integration efforts wherein prior leadership and plans remain mostly unchanged for more then half that time.
Some of that is intentional, it’s not new for pro-isreal lobby groups to smack the “antisemitic” label on any public figure who speaks out against the government of Israel, been going on for years.
Obviously actual nazis and antisemitic people suck and should be called out for their bullshit, but the powers that be have also made the problem worse by inaccurately throwing the label on people.
If you’re a actively flying the flag of Israel that might be a good sign that you believe in what they’re doing lmao.
And vandalizing the flag itself certainly shouldn’t be viewed as antisemitic, I don’t condone violence against people of any race/nationality/idea unless in self defence but that’s usually on an individual level, you can’t take out what the government of Israel is doing out on people who happen to be Jewish.
My first one was a Samsung Galaxy S1 that I got in 2013 and it was a great little device that was easy to open up and repair. It had only 512MB of RAM but that was plenty for basic phone needs, web browsing and running some Android apps like AnkiDroid at the time.
Right, like Facebook did the same shit years ago and it’s unlikely the headline would have looked like this, if it got one at all lol, definitely just rage baiting.
Sarah Katz, 21, had a heart condition and was not aware of the drink’s caffeine content, which exceeded that of cans of Red Bull and Monster energy drinks combined, according to a legal filing
Thank you, a rational take here, everyone has their pitchforks out and aren’t thinking logically about how to deal with it aside from ridiculous things like “it should be illegal!”
It is definitely a tragedy and I feel for the family and friends, however we shouldn’t be jumping to banning it. That is how we end up with a nanny state, some things need to be regulated of course and in this instance it needs to be extremely clear to customers how much caffeine they’ll be injesting.
Even banning alcoholic energy drinks seems a bit too far, I’m generally more in favor of regulating and making warnings for those who are able to handle such things to be able to still enjoy them, rather then banning them because some have preexisting conditions or aren’t able to moderate themselves.
Definitely fair though, I wouldn’t argue strongly against limiting alcohol access in general as we as a society have normalized basically alcoholism and abusing it. I’m not sure what the right answer is on that one :/ I just generally prefer freedom to a sane extent over banning certain things.

The problem with the way drugs is talked about in general is they’re all lumped together.
Weed is not going to be nearly as harmful or addictive as opiates for example, I can definitely empathize with people addicted to harder substances (including Alcohol IMO) and the definite harm it causes.
I just don’t like when weed or psychedelics are lumped in under the “drugs” banner and are treated just as addictive or harmful when they simply aren’t.
Not to mention I personally believe that most drugs should be legalized and regulated because the way we deal with them (criminally) causes so much more harm to the people stuck in addiction, much less likely to seek help out of fear.
The line I specifically didn’t like was when you said, “and can keep a job too!” As if people who use drugs recreationally can’t keep a job.
